I usually don’t read a lot of non-ficiton books (and I have to admit, I bought this one by accident), but I so do not regret it! Quiet by Susan Cain really opened my eyes to the world of introverts and extroverts. I, myself, always knew that I am somewhat of an introvert in a world with an extrovert ideal, but after a while I simply accepted this fact. Cain shows in her book how important introverts are to society, but doesn’t diminish extroverts in the process. Somehow she found the ideal way to explain why people are the way they are, and that constantly trying to change your behavior can do more damage than actual good. I can’t only strongly recommend this book to all fellow introverts, but also to every extrovert that doesn’t understand why his/her best friend doesn’t want to go out and party all the time. Everybody should read this book!
Have you heard of Quiet before? Do you agree/disagree?
