Watch out for: Max Irons

First time I really noticed Max IronsImage, handsome son of amazing actors Jeremy Irons and Sinéad Cusack, was in Red Riding Hood. Many people rooted for the more mysterious and rebellious guy (portrayed by Shiloh Fernandez) during the movie, but I was convinced that Valerie should have chosen Max. He enchanted me right then and there and it seems like I wasn’t the only one who was intrigued by him.

Red Riding Hood wasn’t that long ago, but he managed to get cast for two major roles since then. He can be seen in the Host, another Stephenie Meyer adaption, and as King Edward IV in The White Queen, an upcoming BBC show. I am really excited to see him a lot more in the future ,even though I’ve heard disturbing things from one of his acting collegues.

Saoirse Ronan complained about the kissing scenes she’s had with Max. Even though this probably seems impossible to many people out there, she was somewhat appaled by his smell. Seen as Max is a frequent smoker and loves to drink coffee, I do get her point, but I am not sure I like her quite literal kiss-and-tell. But her confession didn’t seem to drive his fans away anyhow.

Here a clip of how BBC promotes Max’s character on The White Queen:

And here another poll, similar to the one you might have seen for Iwan Rheon.

  1. I definitely agree with you. He really impressed me with his acting skills in Red Riding Hood and the Host so I can’t wait to see what he’ll do next. On an unrelated note I love your blog. :]

    • Yeah, right. I think he could become a really great actor like his dad one day (not meaning he is bad at the moment). I think he has a long career ahead of him.
Thank you so much for your feedback 🙂 I really appreciate it!
