AH! I am so excited that Bloomsbury just revealed the official cover for A Court of Mist and Fury! I absolutely loved the first book and cannot wait to read the second one. Here is the official Goodreads blurb:
Feyre survived Amarantha’s clutches to return to the Spring Court–but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can’t forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin’s people.
Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms–and she might be key to stopping it. But only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future–and the future of a world cleaved in two.
And now on to the cover!
I got the image from The World of Sarah J. Maas, where you can also see them in more detail. Just click here to get referred to the original post!
What do I think? I love it! Were there two different covers for the first book as well though? Because if so, then I think I’ve only ever seen the UK one (which I coincidentally also prefer a little). What is up with the swooshing wind in the US cover? Am I supposed to know what that means? … either way, I am sure this one will look beautiful next to the previous part and I am so excited to see some more Feyre and Rhys interaction and for my bae Lucien to return. But what is it with everyone making the first part of the series red and the second one blue? Is that a new trend?
What do you think? Love/loathe/don’t care about the new cover?
also two covers for the first one, though the differences were not as evident: http://ic.pics.livejournal.com/sjmaas/709898/77493/77493_original.jpg

do you prefer the UK one? I kind like her tattooed hand on the US cover.

Okay, now I am sure that I’ve never seen the US version before. I don’t know, I think I prefer the UK one because it is more subtle and cleaner. I mean what is up with the swooshing wind in the US cover?

I really like it!! I’m excited for this book to come out! I’m so excited to get to know more of Rhys and his interactions with Feyre. However I don’t want a love triangle, and I love Feyre and Tamlin together, but Rhys is just great too! haha

Me too! I am not sure that the love triangle thing can be avoided, but I definitely do want more Rhys as well. He is so intriguing!
