It’s time for a book time and luckily Cristina @My Tiny Obsessions prompted me to do the FRIENDS Book Tag! I loved that show, so I am sure going to have fun with it!
THE ONE WHERE EDDIE WON’T GO – A CHARACTER I WISH WOULD JUST GO AWAY:
In the first book of the Shatter Me trilogy I really liked Adam, but then he got on my nerves SO much! He was incredibly territorial and I can’t stand that.
THE ONE WHERE ROSS AND RACHEL TAKE A BREAK – FAVORITE BREAK UP SCENE:
Such a difficult question! I tend to remember the getting together part more than the breaking up one. I think I actually purposely try to forget things like that when I don’t want them to happen. Now that I think about it, the only break-up scenes that come to mind are the ones from Wild by Cheryl Strayed and Eat, Pray, Love by Eilzabeth Gilbert. Since both of those are actual accounts of what happened, they are very realistic (obviously).
THE ONE WITH ALL THE KISSING – A BOOK WITH LOTS OF KISSING:
I just read Lock & Mori and even though there are probably a lot of books with more kissing, I was surprised by the given amount. So, let’s make that my choice!
THE LAST ONE – FAVORITE SERIES FINALE:
I was really, really tempted to give the same answer as Cristina (Clockwork Princess), but I did come up with something new! I loved the series ending of Isla and the Happily Ever After – it really did end on a great note!
THE ONE WITH A BLACKOUT – A SCENE I’D LIKE TO FORGET:
There is a particular scene in The Magician’s Land that I would like to erase from my memory. It made me feel so uncomfortable, but telling you what it was would be a Spoiler. I am not sure it will be on the show, even though they have proven to be even more drastic than the books sometimes, but if they do, I want it to be a “surprise”.
THE ONE WHERE CHANDLER CAN’T CRY – A BOOK THAT DID NOT MAKE YOU AS EMOTIONAL AS OTHERS:
I am sorry to say it, but The Perks of Being a Wallflower, despite having an emotional premise, never really hit home with me. I think it was the style of writing that just felt too detached for me.
THE ONE WHERE JOEY DOESN’T SHARE FOOD – A BOOK YOU WON’T EVER LEND:
Ha! I don’t like to lend any of my books. Okay, that’s not true. I guess there are a couple I wouldn’t mind giving to others, but in general I am scared of the condition I will get the book back in. I think I’d have troubles with Armada by Ernest Cline. For one, it’s a hardcover book and I don’t have many of those and second, it’s a signed copy. So that better always be in pristine condition!
THE ONE WITH THE THUMB – A RECENT READ THAT YOU WOULD GIVE TWO THUMBS UP TO:
THE ONE WITH THE ICK FACTOR – A BOOK WITH A PET PEEVE:
Argh, I don’t know … any character that’s annoying or unrelatable to? Also, lack of empathy is just beyond me. And if it’s about the actual format of the book? Please, please, please always have page numbering, paragraphs and chapters!
THE ONE WITH THE LESBIAN WEDDING – FAVORITE LGBTQ BOOK COUPLE:
Cristina said Carry On and I want to say Carry On … BUT I can actually think of someone else I love just as much. MALEC IS OTP!!!
