So, I do love to share some of my favourite music and I’ve seen the Playlist Shuffle Tag swirl around for a bit now. I was so happy that Michelle @The Writing Hufflepuff has tagged me now! I am a little afraid of the weird mix that is going to come out of this, but I bet it will be fun.
The Rules
Put your music on shuffle and list the first 15 songs to play (no cheating) then tag 10 others to do it as well.
*I will make 2 playlists, because I haven’t updated my iPod in ages and mostly listen to songs on YouTube now. They have the “My Mix” option on there, so I am going to use that as “shuffle”*

*I hope none of you have done this before, if you have, feel free to ignore it! I would love to hear of your music!*
Do you know some of the artists/songs I’ve mentioned? Some stuff I haven’t listened to in a really long while it feels like. Then there are some artists missing that I listen to quite a lot. Just click on the songs to listen to them on YouTube! I have to say that C’est La Vie and everything by Hozier, Years & Years, Rhodes, BANNERS and AURORA is instantly stuck in my head whenever I listen to it!
Oh my, 9 crimes ❤ Also, I can sing any Taylor Swift song in the car, including Bad Blood 😀 #notashamed

Tay Swift has the best sing-along songs! You definitely shouldn’t be ashamed!!!

For some reason I think when I finish listening to all the songs I don’t know I’ll probably have a few more song on my Spotify playlist 😛 . Also, I might have Can’t Fight the Moonlight in my head right now XD
Thanks for tagging me. This looks so much fun. I’m pretty sure I’ll have the weirdest combination of songs in there.

Well, I’d like to think that I have quite good taste in music … most of the time hahaha so, go ahead and add as much as you like! But you need to tell me which ones you liked best in the end!!!
Yes, I felt like having the weirdest combination at times as well. It didn’t end up being that strange, could have been worse.

I’ll tell you as soon as I have time to listen to it 😀
I’m pretty sure my list wil be a combination of a lot of mainstream songs and weird songs that end up on my playlists for some reason XD

I just looked through it again and I have so very few mainstream songs on it. I am such a Indie music geek. But I have to say like 75% of the songs I listen to have been featured on some sort of show or movie.

Thanks for the tag! I’m going to have an embarrassing number of old Disney channel stars on my list…. heehee

Who cares? I loved some songs of those people as well, heck I even like some of the songs that are coming out now, like from the Descendants. It’s all cool! 😀

Okay good! haha I’ll have to make sure my iPod is up to date when I do this

My iPod is weird and won’t let me update it anymore, so that’s why I made two lists hahaha

That sucks haha I have the latest iPod touch and it still loves me so I’m using it for all its worth haha

Good strategy!! Really good strategy! I think I killed mine with putting more than 1,000 songs on it and still wanting apps.

That might have something to do with it hahaha

I am pretty sure that’s it, yep. hahaha

9 crimes used to be one of my to-go song when I wrote a few years ago, ahah. Might take back that habit, it’s such a great song. And LeAnn Rimes, oh this song reminds me of Coyote Ugly, loved that movie! ❤
Taylor Swift, London Grammar, Coldplay…such a great playlist! ❤

9 crimes makes me so sad somehow. But I have go-to songs for writing as well! They always change, depending on the scenes and the mood though. I love Coyote Ugly!!!

Me too…but I realized I only listened to sad songs to write, because I used to write such heartbreaking things, haha. I love raw emotions I guess, haha.
Me too! It’s one of my favorite movies, I think! ❤

I totally get it! But sometimes I need the kind of music that makes you want to break free. Does that make sense? Something more exhilarating, like Run Boy Run.

Oh yes it completely make sense, something cheerful to make you write and in the mood for certain scenes 🙂

Exactly! It always has to fit the scene 😀

Cherry Wine by Hozier…YAS! I feel like that song doesn’t get the attention it deserves

Right? It’s amazing and I love that all proceeds from the song go towards organisations that battle domestic abuse.

Cherry Wine, and Breath of Life have been BOOMING through my room at the moment (well, as booming as a relatively slow Cherry Wine can be! At least Breath of Life is more uptempo – isn’t Ceremonials just an incredible album all-round?!)
This is such a fun little tag, and I love your music taste – varied, but I love everything it encompasses 🙂 May have to just jump in, and give this tag a go! I do adore a good tag.

Yes! Go ahead and do the tag as well if you like! It is a lot of fun, especially when some old songs pop up that you’ve almost forgotten about.
Also, I’m glad you like my taste of music. I am quite in love with all of it, seen as it is basically the soundtrack to my life of sorts. Ceremonials was one of her best albums! I wish the newest one would have been as good …

Nooooo! I adore How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful. I 100% agree it doesn’t have as many amazing songs as her previous two albums, but my god do some of the tracks make up for it – a fair few are amongst my favourites of all-time. Various Storms & Saints, Mother, Delilah (of course) , Make Up Your Mind and Which Witch. I can definitely see why you don’t like it as much though … some of the songs are indeed a little “lacking”

I don’t know what it is. Usually her songs just sound so ethereal and eclectic and these are definitely as you said lacking something. However, I still do get the pleasure of seeing her live in a month and I am SO excited!

Jealous. Jealous. Jealous. Literally hide me and take me with you? Thanks.
I NEED to see her live (it’s a genuine necessity).
I do understand what you mean about the ethereality of her music though, and how it sort of dissipated in HBHBHB: songs like Seven Devils, and Remain Nameless are genuinely my favourites because of this.

I only got a ticket myself because my friend got some for her birthday and she asked me to come with her. She’s the best!

Bad Blood is definitely on my iPod. The rest, I’m afraid I’m somewhat unfamiliar with.
