500 Followers + GIVEAWAY

IT’S HAPPENED! You crazy people have made it to 500 Followers on WordPress for Life and Other Disasters and I couldn’t be more grateful and happy and giddy and excited! YOU are the people who make this blogging experience so much fun and worthwhile. I can’t believe I have been doing this for almost three years now and I am nowhere near wanting to stop! It is surreal to me that so many people are reading my blog and apparently really care about what I have to say. I might not post every day, because ugh … adult life is getting in the way, but I still feel so much joy whenever I log on here. You are the people I can share my passions with and there is always someone willing to gush with me over my latest obsession. Basically, what I want to say is THANK YOU! ❤

Now, I do want to give something back to you as well! I’ve cooped up a little Giveaway.

I will be giving away the following books:

  • 1 copy of Nowhere But Here by Katie McGarry (with the cover shown above). This giveaway is open internationally.
  • 10 copies of Kindred Spirits by Rainbow Rowell. This giveaway is open to EU citizens only!
  • 5 copies of Kindred Spirits by Rainbow Rowell. This giveway is open internationally.

The giveaways runs from March 28 until April 5. Just click on the links below to enter a certain giveaway. Here are a few guidelines:

  • You must be 18 or older or have the permission of your parents to give me personal details such as your name and address. This data will be used confidentially and won’t be shared with anyone.
  • The winners will be picked randomly and will have 48h to respond or another person will be chosen.
  • All entries have to be valid (and are going to be checked), otherwise the person will be disqualified from the giveaway.

  1. I think I would like to trade places with Jane from Pride and Prejudice. She is so pure and a beautiful soul and Mr Bingley loves her so much! Their relationship has always been one of my favourite things. I would like to trade with Lizzy too, but I’m afraid that her fiery character might be too much for me. 😀

  2. Yay for this! I really want Kindred Spirits but they’re nowhere to be found on TBD anymore! Keeping my fingers crossed for this.
I’ll trade places with America Singer anytime bc MAXON!

    • I am keeping my fingers crossed for you as well! 😀 TBD messed up all the Kindred Spirits deliveries due to a system error and then they had to take it out of their repertoire. It would be cool if you won it now 🙂
Maxon is bae! 🙂 good choice!

  3. For the EU only Kindred Spirits Giveaway – I would love to trade places with Clary Fray of The Mortal Instruments Series partly because then I could be with Jace Herondale but also I think she is such an amazing character having her life switched upside down and becoming a whole new person in attempts to save her mum and ultimately fight evil.

  4. Thank you so much for hosting this give away! I’m joining in on the EU citizens only 🙂 Also I don’t have a Twitter, hope that’s not a problem… Anyhow, for the question: I would love to trade places with Hermione Granger. I love the Wizarding World, and I’d love to go to Hogwarts. She’s an amazing character and so smart, and even though she faces discrimination (being muggleborn) she still manages to be the brightest witch of her age, and to show them all that it doesn’t matter who your parents are.

    • You’re very welcome and no, it’s not a problem that you don’t have Twitter at all. You don’t have to get all the entries to be viable for the giveaway 🙂
      Hermione is a great choice!

  5. crap I read too quickly for the comment. I hope it says the same for the 3 giveaways ? I got to read it only for the Int kindred spirits one (because I didn’t do this one)
so if it’s the same comment : I would trade with Vin from the Misborn series ! Because she is such an incredible character and come on ! being a mistborn must be so much fun !

  6. Congrats!!!! What an amazing milestone ❤ As for trading places with a fictional character, I would definitely choose Hermione Granger because she is amazing and I would love to attend Hogwarts 😀

  7. Wow, that’s really cool! Congratulations!

For the book character thingy, I’d want to trade places with Carley (from Charley by Joan Robbinson)… Perhaps quite an odd choice, but I remember loving the book when I was younger and thinking how cool it would be to live in a henhouse for a summer (I was a weird kid, okay) xD

  8. […] Last, but certainly not least, Kat @Life and Other Disasters had a small problem with her order of Kindred Spirits by Rainbow Rowell, and ended up receiving 50 copies of the book instead of one. And because she’s the best, she sent me one. To be honest, I still haven’t opened it, since it is in Portugal and I am not, but I just couldn’t not mention it. Also, she just achieved 500 WordPress followers on her blog, and she’s hosting a giveaway that you can check out here. […]

  9. […] //platform.twitter.com/widgets.js It was a really neat letter by Katie McGarry, a bookmark and ribbons with quotes from the Thunder Road books. I loved it! And speaking of that particular series, you can now win a copy of the first book – Nowhere But Here! Because you crazy people whom I adore like no one else have made it to 500 Followers here on WordPress! As a little Thank You, I have organised a Giveaway, which you can check out here! […]
