It’s time for Top 5 Wednesdays, a weekly meme created by gingerreadslainey and hosted by Sam @ThoughtsOnTomes. If you want to know more or join as well, just go to the Goodreads group by clicking here. This week’s theme is Rainy Day Reads and that is so difficult to explain, because everyone is feeling different about what fits for those kind of days. Sometimes I want something melancholic that makes me cry, because then the sky weeps with me. Or other days I want the complete opposite, you know, to cheer me up. Then I want something really cuddly that warms me from the inside. So, here are a mix of books, I’d read. No explanation needed in my opinion!
What are some books you enjoy on a rainy day? Tell me all about it in the comments!
I haven’t read Lock & Mori and The Night Circus, but I definitely agree with all of the others. I would cry, even if I know how We were Liars ends already, haha

I talk a lot with Rami from Rami Ungar the Writer and he really is into horror and the likes as well. At least he writes in that genre hahaha but that’s it. I usually go more for the fluffy sites.

The closest I get to reading fluff is JD Robb’s In Death series.

My Life Next Door is absolutely brilliant and way more than your typical Contemporary romance.

Thank you! We Were Liars was an extremely fast read for me, so that definitely works for a rainy day to stay inside. And it hit me emotionally … so there’s that too.

Yes- me too!! I read it really fast and can totally see why you chose it- especially cos the emotional punch is insane- which is perfect when it’s raining (pathetic fallacy and all that jazz :p )

Ooh, My Life Next Door would be perfect on a rainy day! It’s so summery and made me feel so happy, so it would brighten up my day. I haven’t read any of the others, but I really want to read The Night Circus! It looks so magical, and I know I will really enjoy it. Thanks for the recommendations!

Glad you agree on My Life Next Door, that’s exactly why I chose it for this week’s theme 😀
The Night Circus definitely is magical. I’ve heard that the writing itself isn’t for everyone, but I do hope you enjoy it. For me it was a strong 5 star read 😀
