Trailers You Might Have Missed … (April 25-May 1)

trailers

It’s Sunday and you know what that means! It’s time for trailers and promos and me showing you what I found this week! So, without further ado, here we go again. Wait, stop, there is a new Me Before You trailer out that I won’t feature, because I think it just shows random scenes together like a combination of sneak peeks and reveals way too much of the story, if you still want to see it, you can watch it here. Now for real, here are the trailers:

Movies

Snowden

I think the trailer looks quite good, but is it sad that I am most excited about seeing the actor who played Max Vandenburg in The Book Thief again? Tell me if you can spot him!

Southside with You

Wait for it, this is the cutest thing ever – the Barack and Michelle Obama love story! I don’t know how legit it really is, but I think it looks super cute.

Tulip Fever

I am not sure that is my kind of movie, but THE CAST! My love for Alicia Vikander is boundless as all of you know (congrats to her for being in the talks as the new Lara Croft) but the others are great as well!

X-Men: Apocalypse

I just want to see the whole movie by now. SOON!

Captain Fantastic

This movie looks absolutely fantastic, in an indie-family-drama-kind-of way.

Florence Foster Jenkins

WOLOWITZ!!! I feel a little strange with Streep and Grant being a couple … somehow can’t see it, even though I am actually seeing it. I am not making any sense …

Puerto Ricans in Paris

I gotta admit, that looks kind of hilarious!

Dear Eleanor

This movie seems extremely quirky and weird, but I like it.

The Nice Guys

Gosh, I am glad I don’t live in the 70s. That bad TV image would have sucked, but here is a retro trailer nonetheless.

Minuscule: Valley of the Lost Ants

I don’t think this will be a massive hit, but I like how they used real world objects and background with complete CGI creatures.

TV Shows

Freeform has crossed over to the dark side! No more family-friendly shows, but rather death and blood and guilt instead. Here are there two new summer shows:

Guilt

Dead of Summer

So, what do you say? What do you think you’ll be watching?

May 2016 TBR

MayTBR

May is here! I had a splendid reading month during April, but I don’t want to aim too high this time around nonetheless. If I can top my personal best of 9 books, I’ll be happy, but I won’t push my luck. Here’s what I am aiming for:

  • Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
Already started it and love the unconventional story-telling. However, I am scared that the hype got too me a little too much. We shall see!
  • Wolf by Wolf by Ryan Graudin
The writing style of this one is so amazing and even though I am NOT a fan of WWII stories, fictional or otherwise, this one seems be on a good way to win over my heart.
  • Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
The movie is coming out in June, I think, so I have to read it beforehand. I am so afraid of my feels getting crushed, because I am 100% certain that that’s what’s going to happen. So, good thing I will be reading it with Cristina and probably also Cátia. They will have to endure my pain with me.
  • Splintered by A.G. Howard
Okay, this month I will read it for real! Marie and I have already talked about it, because this will be another one of our buddy reads. See, and I am making it easier for myself by not aiming to read the whole series, but rather just the first one.
  • The Wrath and the Dawn/The Rose and the Dagger by Renée Ahdieh
I heard about the cliffhanger in book one and refused to touch it until the new one is out. I will read TWATD with Marie as well if our schedules work out and I am happy about that.
  • A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
It feels like just yesterday that I read A Court of Thorns and Roses and I have such fond memories of it. For one, not a cruel cliffhanger at all! That’s so rare these days. Can’t wait to see how it continues nonetheless, which is just another solid proof that cliffhangers are NOT in fact necessary to keep the reader’s interest.
  • The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson
As you know by now, I adore Morgan Matson! There was no way around me wanting to read the book as soon as it comes out. I pre-ordered it, so hopefully it will be here within the next one or two weeks!
  • Claire by Abigail Strom
I don’t read much NA, but I really did enjoy Rikki (except for that one tiny detail with Sam …) and therefore I was so happy when the author contacted me and asked whether I wanted to read the second installment in the Hart University series. I am all in!

Illuminae (The Illuminae Files, #1)   Wolf By Wolf (Wolf By Wolf, #1)   Me Before You   Splintered (Splintered, #1)   The Wrath & the Dawn (The Wrath & the Dawn, #1)   The Rose & the Dagger (The Wrath & the Dawn, #2)   A Court of Mist and Fury (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #2)   The Unexpected Everything   Claire (Hart University, #2)

So, you can get to the Goodreads-pages by clicking on the covers. I actually have more books than the ones listed at my disposal, so in the unlikely even that I will tear through all of them before May is over, I have even more to read. If something caught your eye and you might want to buddy read (very unofficial and uncoordinated) then just let me know! What are you reading this month?
