Have you ever noticed how many food-related book tags there are? SO MANY! And I get it, books and food are two of the most important things in life. Can’t help but get really hungry when doing these tags though, nonetheless, huge thanks to the Orang-Utan Librarian for tagging me to do The Snack Food Book Tag!
Chocolate covered Pretzels – a book couple you never thought would work/get together
First, not a massive fan of chocolate covered Pretzels … I like soft pretzels a lot more. But that wasn’t the question. I am pretty easily convinced to ship something, so this is pretty difficult for me to answer. Also, most books make it pretty obvious as to who belongs together … I guess my answer would have to be Warner and Juliette from Shatter Me. I did not see that working out in the first book, but then we all know what happens.
Prunegales (see what I did there? the names trademarked so I couldn’t use it) – an addictive book you can’t get enough of
Prunegales are the best! Can I say a whole series? Because I sure as heck can’t get enough of the Shadowhunter world! Keep those books coming!
Trail mix – a book with a variety of characters
Darn it! Could have totally used my previous answer for this one as well. Then I can’t help but steal Game of Thrones as an answer, because that’s also quite the obvious choice. And you all know who my favourite of the bunch is.
Fruit bowls – An unpredictable character
Why are fruit bowls unpredictable? Are people just throwing exotic things in it and no one knows what they are eating? I am clearly overthinking this, my answer: Maven, my beloved friend from the Red Queen series, definitely fits that category. I think he’s gone completely bonkers now, but I can’t help but love him. What can you do?
Nut bar – You’re go to book
Uhm … Red Rising? I can never shut up about the brilliance of that series.
Popcorn – A character you can’t help but like
To keep rolling with the previous answer, Sevro has totally won my heart. That dude is savage and weird and probably very smelly but I can’t help and adore the guy! (btw, I didn’t find the person who created the image below, but I think it’s awesome and all due respect to the original creator)
I TAG:
- Cátia @The Girl Who Read Too Much
- Fadwa @Word Wonders
- Marie @Drizzle and Hurricane Books
- Michelle @The Writing Hufflepuff
Haha why are fruit bowls unpredictable, indeed! 😀

Yes for the SH world and yes for game of thrones !
The rest I yet have to catch up on 😧 I still have a long way to go haha.
Thank for the tag, I’ll gladly do it ❤

There are always books we haven’t read. It’s only normal! How could we read everything when there is always something new coming out too.

Yeeah, you’re right ! But Red Rising and Shatter Me are both series I really want to read 😊

They are awesome series, but the hype can ruin it so quickly. I hope that won’t happen when you read it.

That’s why I’ve been putting them off for so long. Yeah, I hope so too!

Tagging me for a snack food book tag… I think you know me too well, Kat! Nothing better than FOOD and BOOKS, right 😛 And oh, Warner and Juliette. I’ll never get over those two

Maven is totally off his rocker! But I love him for being so totally bonkers!
Sevro is so disgusting but you can’t help but want to hug him hahaha!

We have talked about this before, but I am still always so happy that I am not alone in loving Maven.
Sevro is gross, but I still love him to bits. I’d hug him anyway 😉 (just maybe not when he just came out of a dead horse … )

I swear more people ship Mare with Maven more then with Cal. Us bookworms just love the crazy dudes😂
Ewww I still can’t believe he did that!

True. I like Cal though. I am not against him.

Thank you 😀 so happy that we agree on so many points.
I hope your expectations for Red Rising aren’t too high! I would hate for you to be disappointed by it. Definitely give it a little time to get started! 😉

Everyone raves about Red Rising. Damn, so many books, such little time. I loved this post Kat. Particularly your description for GOT. When I saw the question that’s the first thing that popped into my mind.

I am always scared that Red Rising gets overhyped
I started the book and was pretty sure that it might not end liking it, which for the first time in a long while lead to me not ordering all the available books at once. It’s definitely more on the adult than the YA scope and very gory, but somehow it stole my heart and has forever carved its name in it. It took a while until I really could just let myself go in that world, but now I love it.

Well that’s all the better then. Maybe you loved it more because you were worried about not liking it. Adult genres are more to my preference anyway so this might be right up my alley. Thanks Kat.

Speaking of Red Rising, only two more days until I can download the audio book for Morning Star! My excitement levels are rising, I think I might start shivering at any moment.

Oh thanks for the tag! Food and books is the perfect combination 😀 All of us bookworms are very hungry for both food and books so of course we create food-related tags haha. I really do wonder why fruitbowls are unpredictable… What do people do with fruitbowls??

I have no idea. That one really puzzled me, because fruit bowls always seemed really ordinary to me …
