It’s time for Top 5 Wednesdays, a weekly meme created by gingerreadslainey and hosted by Sam @ThoughtsOnTomes. If you want to know more or join as well, just go to the Goodreads group by clicking here. I actually did something very similar to this week’s topic, but first things first. This is the official task:
Choose characters you are like, not characters you WANT to be like. You can also choose one character trait you share with a particular character. For example, you may not have Hermione’s bravery, but you do have her book smarts!
So, when I previously did something very similar, it took me forever to find the proper characters (you can check that out here), still I am determined to try it again. I am not going to stick to just book characters though. There are so many possibilities out there after all.
Rory Gilmore (Gilmore Girls) – Love for Books
I think this is the most obvious one we can ALL relate to. That girl loved her books and so do I/we (not meaning my multiple personalities with that but rather the bookish community as whole).
Emily (Sinve You’ve Been Gone) – Very Fun Wallflower
Hey, I am fun! But sometimes it takes a little time until I feel comfortable enough to show my full on craziness to people I have just met. Emily isn’t all that crazy I guess, but she does come off as shy and needs some time to adjust in a new environment. I can definitely understand that!
Caroline Forbes (The Vampire Diaries) – Insecure, Neurotic Control Freak
This is very similar to when I chose Clara Oswald, but I have made peace with that side of myself. Not all things are in my control, but when I do have some power over what is going to happen, I am going to fret and worry and try to make it as perfect as possible – that’s just me!
Simon Lewis (The Mortal Instruments) – Nerd
That guy knows his references and I think it makes life all the funnier to quote my favourite shows/movies/books as well. Not doing that all that often though, because mostly people don’t get it and then it just gets awkward, but whatever!
Felicity Smoak (Arrow) – Smarts/Awkwardness
I think I love Felicity so much because I know that she is incredibly intelligent, but still manages to be super awkward. I am not saying I am a genius like her – definitely not – but my grades were always pretty good and I was even part of the mathletics once. That qualifies me as smart for sure. Also, the awkwardness – I so feel for her saying things the wrong way. I do that all the time.
So, who are you most alike? Leave your link to your T5W post if you want to!
