I can’t believe it’s July already! Where is this year going? It’s just wooosh, and half of it is already over. Well, on to the actual point of this post though. Here are my reads for the month, which I kept intentionally light, because I don’t need to add any kind of pressure. Let’s make this a chill reading month!
- Everything Leads to You by Morgan Matson
I am currently reading this with Cátia. It’s a remnant from last month, so we should be done soon-ish. - My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand/Brodi Ashton/Jodi Meadows
I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS BOOK! Check out my unboxing post for the OwlCrate box here, to find out how I got this book! - The Serpent King by Jeff Zentner
I’ve heard so many good things about this book, without actually knowing what it is about that I just picked it up at the bookstore today. I have a good feeling about it! - The Crown by Kiera Cass
This is probably the book I am least excited about, but what can you do. I started the series, now I have to finish it. - You Know Me Well by Nina LaCour/David Levithan
I am MAJORLY happy to read this book. Only heard good things and I usually really enjoy LaCour and Levithan. I even suggested in some post that they should work together and THEY DID! (Not because of me, but who cares about details, right?) - Unhinged by A.G. Howard
I just feel like it is time I finally continue with this series.
As always, click on the covers to get to Goodreads! What are you reading this month? Tell me in the comments!
Looks like a great list! I’d love to hear what you think of My Lady Jane. We here at Shelfie had a pretty unpopular opinion of that book.

Oh noooo! I am really loving it so far 😦 I am assuming you didn’t?

Sadly, no.
I wanted to like it, I really did. There were just so many things that annoyed me.

That’s too bad 😦 It really sucks when you want to like a book but it simply doesn’t click.

Yeah. I had high hopes. Maybe too high.

That would be cool! It sounds so fantasy-ish, but I know it’s a normal contemporary hahaha I am excited.

Yes, I just wanted to read some other stuff in-between books. That way there’ll be slightly less of a wait for the sixth book when the time comes (though for all I know I could be waiting till 2020 for Book 6).

Hmm … I didn’t like the 5th book, the 4th was already a struggle at times. There are just so many characters I stopped caring about.

Well, we’ll see. I think if I liked the third book, I’ll like the fourth well enough. And I hear we get some background on Cersei, so I think I’ll enjoy that.

The third one was actually my favourite … so I wouldn’t bet on the 4th being that good hahaha

It’s great. I don’t think it will be my favourite Matson book, but it is still very fun and great for the summer!

Ohhh I am so excited to know your thoughts about the next book in the Splintered series. Hope it’s not too creepy haha 🙂

I guess there will be a certain creep-factor, but not that I am prepared, it won’t be too bad.

I liked The Crown – it was better than The Heir and things wrapped up quite nicely. I also loved the Splintered series!!! 😀

I am just not a massive fan of Eadlyn … she annoyed me so much.

She was pretty irritating in The Heir, but she does get better 🙂

Great TBR list! 🙂 I really want to read the Unexpected Everything BADLY because my expectations are rocketing and I want so much greatness to come out of it! How is it so far? I hope you guys are enjoying it!
I really want to get my hands on My Lady Jane! It seems like such an interesting premise and Cynthia Hand writes SO WELL. I haven’t yet read from the other two authors but I’m so excited too! I’ve heard so much great things about the book! 🙂

I am not sure it will get the top spot of all my Matson books, but TUE is still a really great read! It has a lot of elements that will especially appeal to your inner bookworm.
And you definitely should get My Lady Jane! I love it so much!

Haha, there are some awesome books from Matson (Second Chance Summer made me CRY LIKE A BABY), I’m would love it even if it was just HALF as great! That sounds SO PERFECT, haha I can’t wait! I still have to get my hands on Since You’ve Been Gone!
Haha I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I will definitely get my hands on it! 🙂
