Trailers You Might Have Missed … (July 18-24)

trailers

This week we have a sort of SDCC edition of trailers and promos because that is where most (but not all) of them come from. In fact there was so much to choose from that I may have cut it down a little so that the post wouldn’t be too overwhelming … which it will probably still be. Now, before we get started, I just want to give a shout out to all the people who send me links for trailers (like for example you, Rami) because I really appreciate the thought behind that, but you need to trust in me that I will bring the best trailers to you! I have a pretty good network of getting them myself and I get confused if I end up with too many notifications and links. But if I ever do end up missing something essential, please feel free to make me aware of that in the comments!

Movies

Suicide Squad

So, this is probably my least favourite of all the Suicide Squad trailers, but I may just be a little bit in love with the editors nonetheless. Seriously, who is cutting those trailers? THEY SHOULD BE CUTTING EVERYTHING, THEY ARE SO ON POINT!

Justice League

I am more or less excited about this. More, because it packs more humour than the dreadful Batman vs. Superman did, and less because even though they have great casting they completely disregarded the already existing TV universe. I’ll get over it eventually … probably once I can actually see the movie.

Wonder Woman

I know this is a movie about a powerful woman and I don’t want to diminish the awesomeness of that AT ALL, but I do love any movie with one of the Chrises in it (Chris Pine, Chris Pratt, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Chris I-don’t-even-know)

Doctor Strange

It’s still the comic book adaptation I am least excited about in the near future, but it does look so much better than the first promo we got! It’s just that houses that fold into themselves keep reminding me of Inception, I can’t shake that.

King Arthur

I love the Arthurian legend, usually really enjoy Guy Ritchie’s vision and CHARLIE HUNNAM – I need no further convincing!

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

MAGIC! YAY! (Is it weird that I just want the Newt Scamander Pop Figure?)

Kong: Skull Island

Ever since the whole HiddleSwift fiasco, I can’t take Tom all that serious anymore … it’s just weird that this really made him loose some of his credibility in my eyes. However, Brie Larson is awesome, so this is a maybe for me.

The Girl on the Train

Still wondering if I should read the book …

xXx: The Return of Xander

I was honestly not expecting them to make another movie in that franchise.

The LEGO Batman Movie

I guess the first Lego movie was so successful, they have to keep banking in on it. It does look funny though.

Moana

I don’t understand a word BUT CUTENESS!!!!

TV Shows

Sherlock Season 4

I have no words other than FINALLY!

American Gods

It’s a Neil Gaiman adaptation, so I know the hype around it will be big no matter what!

All the Marvel Stuff

(including The Defenders, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Agents of SHIELD, …)

All the DC Stuff

(including Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow …)

Once Upon a Time (Season 6)

They are showing Jafar, but THERE ALREADY IS A JAFAR!!!! They made it very clear that Once Upon a Time and Once Upon a Time in Wonderland belong together and share characters, so WHY is this a different actor now?

The Vampire Diaries Forever

I think it’s about time this is ending. Better go out with a bang though!

Lucifer Season 2

I need to know more about Mum!

The 100 Season 3

Teen Wolf Season 6

Why do they always put Stiles through the emotional torture?

High Maintenance

I just finished Looking by watching the absolutely fantastic movie they ended with and then I stumbled upon this little promo. HBO always has great content, so I am pumped for this!

Sorry this got so long, but as always, what are you going to watch?

Pokémon Go Book Tag

header

Ever since I saw the Pokémon Go Book Tag created by Aentee at Read at Midnight, I was hoping someone would one day tag me AND TODAY IS THE DAY! Dee @Bookish Khaleesi has done me the favour and therefore here we go with the tag. I will be using Aentee’s graphics as well, because they are simply amazing and perfect. Don’t forget to check out the original posts of those lovely ladies!

starters

As far as I can remember I have always been a reader. Even in school, I loved to do the reading homework, but I think the first book that really fascinated me and made me emotional about the characters was Inkheart by Cornelia Funke. I mean … Dustfinger! He is still one of my favourites.

pikachu

My favourite classic is and will always be The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. I don’t know what it is about this book, but I have a strong feeling that the 1920s setting has something to do with my love for it.

zubat

Hmmm … I don’t know. I kind of lost interest in Truthwitch and Passenger because I saw it EVERYWHERE. But that doesn’t mean I will never read them at all. I’ll just wait until the hype has died down and then pick it up in a year or so … or when the whole series is released.

ditto

The Shatter Me series at some point just really reminded me of the X-Men (which isn’t a book series, but comics count too when I can’t think of a different answer), however, it was still so uniquely written, I absolutely adore those books!

snorlax

Vampire Academy! Whenever I see the movie or the books on other people’s posts, I want to read them … but there are so many books already. And then there are all those new releases and I can’t help but wonder if I should just let it go and keep to the new stuff instead. Keeping up with reading can be so tough sometimes.

gengar

Many a book has accomplished that, but I think one of the last one was Gambit, because that book was awesome and I wanted to know what happened next like all the freaking time!

nidokingqueen

Whaaaat? How am I supposed to choose? I am just going to name one random ship that I ship, because I am known for shipping all the ships.

Rhys and Feyre! There you go! I said somthing …

rapidash

I really liked Dee’s answers, but I am going to go with the Thunderoad series. They are quite steamy and action packed and I like that.

eevee

Definitely the Red Rising series. Technically the first spin off isn’t even out yet, but it will be soon and then I am sure I will be of the same opinion, because Pierce Brown can do no wrong with the books he’s writing. I am wholeheartedly convinced of that.

magikarp

Over the course of time, I have changed my mind about The Magicians like a gazillion times. I am still not a major fan of the first book, but as a whole, that series was really good. It still hasn’t really left my brain, so that sure means something.

legendary

I don’t even know. I think The Lunar Chronicles would probably be a solid choice for that. I really want those books and I am going to get the book box when it comes out this fall for sure. All the raving blog posts did not scare me off!

mewtwo

There are so many! I think if I ever were to get the Harry Potter books, I would want the glow in the dark ones. They look so cool!

pokeegg

I’ve mentioned this about a gazillion times now, but I CANNOT wait to read Unscripted Joss Byrd! I am so excited for this book, I am even considering getting it as a hardcover.

lure

Again, there are quite a few: Tahereh Mafi, Pierce Brown, Cassandra Clare, John Green, Morgan Matson, David Levithan and many mooooore.

serverdown

The sequel for Gambit? It’s not even been all that long that I’ve read it, but since there is no release date for the second book, it feels like forever! WHEN IS IT COMING OUT!? I NEED A DATE!

Now it’s time for you brave pokémon trainers to go out there and do the tag:
