T5W: Books to Read Before the End of the Year

endy

It’s time for Top 5 Wednesdays, a weekly meme created by gingerreadslainey and hosted by Sam @ThoughtsOnTomes. If you want to know more or join as well, just go to the Goodreads group by clicking here. Today is all about books that need to be read (by me, not everyone, although you are welcome to read along) before the end of this year. The topic pretty self-explanatory, so let’s get started.

  • Unscripted Joss Byrd by Lygia Day Peñaflor
I’ve been raving about the need to have this book for a long time and I actually got it right on release day! YAY! (You have to understand that this is sometimes very rare for us international bookworms) So, that’s something I will tackle soon.
  • The Elfstones of Shannara by Terry Brooks
This has been sitting on my shelf forever and I feel guilty about it. I just got so wrapped up in the show and didn’t think I could take it again in writing right away, but now it keeps staring at me accusingly … so, there’s that.
  • Emerald Green by Kerstin Gier
Consindering how much trouble and headache I went through to get this book, I should probably also read it.
  • The Hamilton Affair by Elizabeth Cobbs
Everyone knows of my Hamsession, so my mum did me the favour and gave me this book for my birthday. I have to seize the momentum and read it while my interest is still like this bottomless pit that needs feeding.
  • Ensnared by A.G. Howard
So, the Splintered series didn’t turn out to be my favourite, but I still want to finish it. It’s a mix of wanting to get it over with and being curious as to how it ends.

What are some books you have to read before the year is over? Tell me in the comments!

  1. It’s a shame you didn’t love the splintered series! But at least the covers are gorgeous to look at 😂😂 I’m glad you finally got the unscripted book!! I hope you love it!

  2. I am really curious to see how you like the next book in the Splintered series. I’m still unsure about gong on with this or not, it’s not on my priority list, but I will look forward to your thoughts….I will probably decide to read the rest of the series if you say it’s worth it 😀
