Trailers You Might Have Missed (Dec 5-11)

trailers

How was your week, friends? I am currently sitting here with a scratchy throat and running nose, hoping with everything I’ve got (including loads of tea) that it will be better by Tuesday, when I have to work again. But what better way to use the time until then, other than hauling up with a bunchย of blankets and watching trailers?

Movies

Transformers: The Last Knight

So, THAT’s the new narrative Ford was working on! (Sorry, couldn’t hold off the Westworld reference)

Spider-Man: Homecoming

I think it looks really good! And funny! (That’s important)

Baywatch

I used to watch the show so much when I was little. It was just on TV all the time, but this … did not awaken any feels of nostalgia?

The Circle

I’ve been seeing that book around for ages now and the cast just looks so amazing. It’s nothing I would usually read, but who knows? I might still check it out before the release.

War for Planet of the Apes

I have missed the previous film … so, no idea where I stand on that one.

The Fate of the Furious (Teaser)

Gosh … I used to love that movie franchise so much, but now it’s more of a heist kabam (I know that’s not a real word) than it is about racing and loyalty and family.

The Wall

Yeah, so, I like Aaron … a lot, but I don’t think this movie is for me.

Fifty Shades Darker

Uhm, maaaaybe, if I see this as another comedy, I might watch it? Definitely wouldn’t pay for it though.

Office Christmas Party

I forgot to post this last week. ย I thought I already did …

The Mummy

Last week was the teaser and here’s the full trailer … I don’t think I need a Cruise-ified Mummy film in my life.

Coin Heist

I’d watch this for Alex Saxton alone, but it’s also cool to see a YouTuber in a movie I guess. (Let’s just act as if that’s a rare thing and they aren’t all branching out right now and either appear in movies or publish books)

TV Shows

Sherlock (Season 4)

Is it weird that I am just happy to see Molly in this trailer?

Switched at Birth (Sneak Peek)

I guess they are talking about Travis?

A Series of Unfortunate Events

I am going to refrain from comments until I can watch the actual series, but it looks like they’ll cover a lot of ground in that first season already.

That’s it for this week! Quite a lot of blockbusters, huh? What do you want to watch and what are you currently watching? Let’s talk about that!

  1. A lot of these trailers appeared on my feed over the week, and I really want to see them. Spider-Man looks awesome, Planet of the Apes looks like it’ll be a great follow-up, and Circle looks like it could be very interesting.
And Mummy…well, even if it has Tom Cruise in it, I love a good scary movie, and it looks like, unlike previous Mummy films, it’ll focus a bit more on the scary than the action-adventure, which I approve. And since it comes out around my birthday, I’ll probably see it as a birthday celebration. My sister has even offered to go with me, which shows how much she likes me, because she hates scary movies (though she did see Interview with the Vampire recently).
And as for the Transformers film…I just don’t care. I stopped caring after the third film, and I hope this is the last film, because this is getting ridiculous!

  2. I’ll give this new Spidey a chance. I think Garfield is a talented actor and I particularly enjoyed him in the Amazing Spiderman, so this new guy has to sell me. I’m hopeful, though. Spiderman is a great character.

      • Really, I didn’t know Andrew Garfield didn’t enjoy filming them! I did a quick Google search and it seems that that was the case. The same happened for Tobey Macguire and his fellow cast members too. I guess Spiderman is like Bond, then, strange as that sounds, in that every actor goes on to loathe the role in some way ๐Ÿ˜€

  3. I hope you’ll feel better soon, Kat, sending you lots of hugs and…well, tissues and a lot of tea ahah ๐Ÿ™‚
Also, that Switched at Birth Sneak Peek… I didn’t watch it because I want to keep all the suspense but I CAN’T WAIT for this show to come back. We have been waiting for SO LONG now!

  4. A lot of great trailers this week! Spider Man looks like Marvel has finally been able to get it right and Sherlock is giving me Johnlock feels. I think I might die before January. I’m not sure about Transformers, Fast and Furious, and the Apes. I think the franchises should all try and come to a stopping point.

      • I read a comment above some and somebody mentioned how Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire were both pretty miserable while filming their Spider Man movies and I think that that could be from all of the hanging upside down stuff and the physical toll that could come with playing the roll. And I think Tom Holland will enjoy it because he has gymnastics experience from what I’ve heard.

      • From what I remember, Andrew Garfield wasn’t happy because he felt like the story and the characters weren’t prioritized. Effects and stuff were more important. But who knows … maybe the physical stuff played into it.

  5. I’ve just sort of stopped worrying about keeping up with trailers now and waiting for your post ๐Ÿ˜„ The Spider Man movie though! It’s been done sooo many times but damn, I really like Marvel’s take on it. I can’t wait!

I need to watch the first redo of the Planet of the Apes, too. I remember the originals used to freak me out so much.

I actually really like the look of The Wall, too. I’m very intrigued to see what the story is – I assume it’s fiction though and not based on something. Seems like it’ll be a strange movie but I want to see it!

Don’t even get my started on the Sherlock trailer. I AM DEAD. But omg I was excited when I saw the Doctor Who trailer – I can’t wait until it’s out!

    • Hahaha well, I hope I can continue to keep you updated!
I think Tom Holland might really be the one to make Spider Man work. I liked Andrew Garfield, but something wasn’t quite right. He wasn’t too happy on set either :/
Sherlock and Doctor Who – the wait for those is always killing me!

  6. Fate of the Furious is just too much LOLz. What it first was compared to what it is now is insanely impressive. To be honest, the more crazy they make this stupid-fun movie, the more I’m just going to continue following the series. I guess it became a guilty pleasure hahahh

    • I am still watching all the Fast and Furious movies, but they are just … not at all what they used to be! I think there’s still a contract for one more after The Fate of the Furious and then they are done. OR I am mistaking that and this one is the last … either way, I think it is about time they stop.

      • Ohhhh, I believe there’s like 4 more, including this one to come. Vino was the one who had announced that the series would have more installments..like.. a couple weeks after the release of Furious 7 (crazy…). They’re probably going to milk this series out for..eeevvveeer. I mean, I wouldn’t even be surprised if the kids of this “family” end up being the main actors at some point.

      • Oh wow … I am honestly not sure if I am up for 4 more of those movies hahaha but I could totally see their offsprings taking over one day. I just really thought that they would stop soon after Paul’s death.
