Wow! How weird to finally write the numbers 2017. I hope you all made it safe and sound into the new year, may it be at least fractionally better than the last one! (Which would already be a lot considering what a mess 2016 has been!!!) But now let’s talk about books and what I want to read this fine January.
- Blood for Blood by Ryan Graudin
It is time I finally read this. I don’t even know why I have been waiting this long, especially considering that I already had it in October. - Heartless by Marissa Meyer
I keep forgetting about this book, just like I forgot to ever post that unboxing of OwlCrate. I will probably end up doing a combined post on that whenever I get around to reviewing it. - Sleeping Giants by Sylvain Neuvel
There’s the beauty of the book on the one hand and a story that seems very, very intriguing on the other. Can’t wait to dive into this. - Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by J.K. Rowling
Still haven’t read any regular HP books, but apparently I have absolutely no problems reading the screenplays! - The three Class novellas
… to conquer my withdrawal
What are you reading? What are your plan for 2017?
Fantastic beasts is also on my tbr!!

Yay! I want to do a dramatic reading of it, I just adored Queenie and Jacob so much.

Ooh, what an exciting TBR, Kat! ❤
I actually haven’t read any of the books on your Jan TBR… but I really, really want to read Sleeping Giants!
At the moment, my Jan TBR looks like it’ll be The Summer of Chasing Mermaids, Under a Painted Sky, When the Moon Was Ours, and hopefully I’ll be able to finish Promise of Shadows too! I’m also reading The Star Touched Queen on my ebook, but, ugh I’m finding it so difficult to get into it. I hope it’ll get better though!

I just started Sleeping Giants this morning and it’s very sciency but also sooooo intriguing. I think I am going to like it a lot.
Your TBR looks awesome though! There are quite a couple of books that friends of mine have liked, such as The Summer of Chasing Mermaids and When the Moon was Ours. I hope the reading of your ebooks gets better though.

Great TBR! Since I saw the movie, I should probably read the Fantastic Beasts as well.

Thanks! I don’t know if it’s necessary to read the script. It’s EXACTLY the same thing as the movie … sooo, maybe it’s a bit boring to read right after.

You’re welcome! That’s probably true. Maybe I won’t check it out after all lol

I really want to read Blood for Blood and Heartless soon! I didn’t read the screenplay (although I own it), but I saw the film of Fantastic Beasts and it is incredible! I hope you enjoy it!

I liked the Fantastic Beasts film too, so I am not worried about the script 😀

Blood for Blood sounds like a horror novel.
I’m currently reading Wicked by Gregory Maguire (inspiration for the musical of the same name), and after that, I think I’ll read some Lovecraft. I also get a new audio book on Wednesday, so I’m trying to decide what book I want to download. Maybe a mystery, maybe an examination of Dante’s Inferno. We’ll see.

Blood for Blood is the sequel to Wolf by Wolf, which is an alternate reality WWII story. It’s really great, you should read it!

Well, you are in luck, I am almost done with the book hahaha However, I still have 3 reviews to write before that. I have never been so behind on those before

Heartless is receiving a big push in the New York City subway system, there are multiple ads posted along the platforms of just about every station that I frequent during my daily commute. I may have to pick that one up!

Ha! I had no idea. I hear it’s a really sweet book, but not as great as Meyer’s previous series.

I still haven’t read Blood for Blood either, even though I planned on doing that as soon as it came out…Obviously that didn’t happen. I don’t even own the book yet. I really hope to get my hands on it and read it as soon as possible. XD Good luck with you TBR!

Ohhh, Heartless, I am so curious to know your thoughts on that one. I read a couple of mixed reviews, and since I trust your opinion the most, I’ll decide whether to read it or not depending on your thoughts; (no pressure here… hahaha. I just trust your bookish taste :p)
