Trailers You Might Have Missed … (Jan 16-22)

It was quite the eventful week, with terrible but also inspiring things happening. I am also really happy with how the first #CurrentlyWatching post (which you can read here) turned out and can’t wait to do more with that feature in the future. But let’s not go too far and look at which trailers and promos were released in the past couple of days instead:

I laughed … this looks weirdly brilliant.

I am really looking forward to this! (Also love hearing Kaleo’s song in the trailer)

Power Rangers

WE GET TO SEE THE SUITS! They don’t look exactly like I pictured them, but I am SO EXCITED.

I Am Michael

Okay, so, I have problems with this trailer. The summary states “A gay activist and magazine founder is saved from his homosexuality after turning to God.” and that it is based on a true story, but … you cannot be “saved” from homosexuality? What is this? My assumption was, and please not that this is only my opinion, that the movie might be about him being bi and the real tragedy being that society forces him to choose one or the other, but that was not the case … I don’t know. I mean, it’s okay if you change your opinion about your sexuality, but it just feels wrong the way they phrased it. There is no cure and there isn’t one necessary, religion isn’t going to and shouldn’t suddenly make you straight. Anyway, there are a couple of gay actors in it though and I feel like they wouldn’t have wanted to be part of it if it were homophobic. (Longest comment on a trailer in the history of these posts …)

A Bunch of upcoming Netflix originals

Netflix knows what they are doing (most of the time – not sure about all of those)!

The Ottoman Lieutenant

Oh boy, Michiel Huisman AND Josh Hartnett, be still my beating heart …

The Nut Job 2

Don’t think I’ve watched the first movie, but it looks kind of cute/funny.

1 Night

I like all those stories where one night can change everything (preferably for the better).

TV Shows

I NEED to watch this, because I love all those guys. Luke Pasqualino, Rupert Grint and Ed Westwick is kind of an epic combo.

The Magicians (Season 2)

Reign (Season 4)

Honestly haven’t watched this since Season 1.

Wasn’t sure if I showed the entire promo or just a teaser, so here you go.

Santa Clarita Diet

I could see people enjoying this, but not me. Zombies are not my jam most of the time.

What are you watching? What are you going to check out?
