T5W: Non-Written Novels

It’s time for Top 5 Wednesdays, a weekly meme created by gingerreadslainey and hosted by Sam @ThoughtsOnTomes. If you want to know more or join as well, just go to the Goodreads group by clicking here. The title for today’s post is a little misleading in my opinion, because can a novel not be written and still be a novel? I don’t want to go into the philosophical aspect of this, but rather show you some of my favourite comics and graphic novels instead.

This was a hard topic to name, but this is about all books that are not ‘written’ novels! So graphic novels, comics, manga, audiobooks, etc. Shed some light on books in other forms.

If you want to talk about any of these, leave a comment and I’ll be there to discuss! What would have been your picks?

  1. I have heard amazing things about Zodiac Starforce and I definitely want to read it as well! Plus I have head that the art is amazing as well, so it makes me even more exited – I do love pretty art. 😉

    • Very happy to hear it! 🙂 I hope you’ll enjoy all of it as much as I did, but beware of Road to Riverdale, the stories are all unfinished because they are only excerpts of the comics. It’s to get a feel what the show is based on.

    • I would recommend Zodiac Starforce. It’s a finished story and doesn’t require any prior knowledge like the others would. It’s bright and fun and diverse (main characters from the LGBT community, of color and different sizes).
But if you are interested in the show Riverdale, then Road to Riverdale might also be interesting. It has an excerpt of the first issue of Archie, Jughead, Betty & Veronica, Josie and the Pussycats and Reggie inside as well as some photos from the set. That’s really up to whether you are interested in the Archie comics in general.
