TBRs haven’t really been working for me lately, so, instead of making a fixed decision on what I am going to read, I am just going to show you all the books I currently have at my disposal. Depending on my mood, I will then choose what to read, hopefully taking off some pressure.
- A Conjuring of Light by V.E. Schwab
I will be reading the final book in the Shades of Magic series alongside Fadwa and Marie! We will jump right in as soon as we all have the book. - The Last Beginning by Lauren James
I wasn’t a real fan of The Next Together, but somehow I wanted to give the series another chance. Even if I won’t like it, it wouldn’t be a disaster, because it was super cheap. - Heartless by Marissa Meyer
I don’t know why this is taking me so long … - Caraval by Stephanie Gerber
This will hopefully give me Night Circus vibes, because then I will be blissfully happy. - Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman
I LOVE Norse Mythology so much!!! - Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver
Film covers are my weakness. I’ve heard mixed things about it, but I just want to read it before I watch it. - King’s Cage by Victoria Aveyard
This better salvage my opinion of the series or I will have to drop it. - Scrappy Little Nobody by Anna Kendrick
Still planning on reading it with Cátia. - Walk the Edge by Katie McGarry
I do like the Thunder Road series, but it’s not calling to me right now. - Born a Crime by Trevor Noah
Trevor Noah is one of most awesome people out there. I’ve heard a lot about his past in interviews or his stand up program, but I cannot wait to read his entire book! - We Are Okay by Nina LaCour
I have not not liked a Nina LaCour book thus far. - The Stone House by A.K. Benedict
- Joyride by Guy Adams
- What She Will Do Next Will Astound You by James Goss
Those three are the Class novels … that I still haven’t read … I have no reasons …
And then I also have some eArcs I need to get to, which are the following:
- Goodbye Days by Jeff Zentner
- Girl Out of Water by Laura Silverman
- Stealing Candy by Stewart Lewis
- The Librarians and the Mother Goose Chase by Greg Cox

I have even more books than that, but I know I won’t read those this month no matter what happens. This already gives me plenty of options! What are you reading this month?
we are definitly reading goodbye days soon, right? and i think you’re gonna love born a crime.

Of definitely! I am the biggest Zentner fan of the the three of us, I am the one who had to restrain herself so far.

That is an awesome collection of books to read this month! I like your approach. I think I will try the same. My pile is not nearly as exciting as yours however lol.

Thanks 😀 I am really opposed to pressure when it comes to reading, so I thought showcasing what I have instead of what I am definitely going to fail to read would be better hahaha

Right? A passion quickly becomes a chore with self-imposed deadlines. Happy reading 😊

Scrappy Little Nobody is the only book on this list that I have read. It’s pretty good and hilarious and I think it’s a great book to start with if you don’t read biographies that much. I hope you will enjoy reading it! 🙂

Biographies are basically the only non-fiction I read these days and mostly of actors too hahaha but thanks nonetheless. I’ve only heard good things about it so far!

SO MANY BOOKS. I am so eager for this ACOL buddy read, this is going to be a LOT of fun, I can’t wait 🙂 I really want to read We were okay, it sounds like such a beautiful book and I am so in love with this book cover, it’s insane. I also want to read Heartless but it’s nowhere close to be on my priority list at the moment haha…Same goes for king’s cage. I think I’m too scared it’ll end up annoying me even more than Glass Sword
And Before I fall, YES READ IT NOW. I hope you will love it! ❤ ❤

Yeah, It was kind of baffling to see them all listed now, because they are divided over my shelves and don’t look like THAT much hahaha
I am looking forward to the buddy read as well 🙂 so far it seems to be a very emotional end to the series, so I really can’t wait!

I’m reading a book by one of my professors, Lee Martin, called Late One Night, about a fire in a small town and the consequences when it’s discovered that the fire was set by someone. It’s very good so far. I’m about halfway in or so. After I read that one, I’m thinking either Gerald’s Game by Stephen King or the Damnation Game by Clive Barker (either way, games).
I also plan to download the first book of the Bartimaeus trilogy, the Amulet of Samarkand, from Audible when I get my credit, because I love that series and I want to revisit it.

Okay, I legit know none of those books except for the Bartimaeus ones. I haven’t read them though, my former grade school best friend used to love them. He talked about them every time we had a play date hahaha

I really recommend the Bartimaeus books. They have a lot of elements you like: magic, teenage characters growing throughout the series, a bit of romance, a lot of comedy, and some really nice fight scenes. Just to name a few.

Yeah, I am not going to read those books. That’s sort of over for me.

I really hope to get to A Gathering of Shadows and A Conjuring of Light this month! (Or at least one of them!) Seeing that I read A Darker Shade of Magic in January and adored it, I thinks it’s only right to read the second book as soon as possible. And then as I don’t have to wait I can pick up the third one as well! 😀
Good luck with your TBR, I hope you manage to read many of the books you mentioned!

Thanks! I am not really in a rush to read all of them.
And you will need ACOL nearby when you finish AGOS!!! TRUST ME!!!!! (the wait was anguish)

A CONJURING OF LIGHT YESSSS. Omg, I’m so excited for you, Fadwa and Marie to read it!! ❤ ❤ It's actually SUCH a great novel, such a wonderful (heart-wrenching) finale. I can't wait to see what you think of Caraval and Goodbye Days, I'm so excited to read both of those. And King's Cage! I really hope it turns out to be a good read, Glass Sword was so disappointing… But this is such a great TBR, fingers crossed you enjoy most, of these books, if not all! 😀

Thanks Analee, i have high hopes for most of these books, but I am not in a real rush to actually read them. They have to last me all the way to late May hahaha

Ooooh, it looks like you have a ton of great books to get to. I’m going to be finishing ACOL in March too – I started it the day it was released, but I’ve been putting finishing it off for so long simply because I don’t want it to end. I also hope to get to Caraval this month as well; despite being so hyped, a ton of people I trust have given it such great reviews. Here’s to hoping we both reach our reading goals. ♡

The amount of books I own right now and that I want to read is a bit overwhelming, but they need to last me until roughly about May anyway, so I am in no particular rush.
I’ve only heard great and emotional things about ACOL so far. I am sure it’s a good thing you are savoring that reading experience!
I hope you have a great reading month ❤

[…] March I showed you all the books I currently had at home, read for reading (you can check that out here) and I didn’t even get anywhere near reading them all. That, of course, in no way stopped me […]

Okay, I am envious of your obvious ability to control your TBR. My pile is MASSIVE even though I just did a clear-out of it.

You call that control!? I have currently 14 books on my nightstand … it’s not in control hahaha

I probably have over 90! (Admittedly I don’t keep them on my nightstand, but still.)
