How was your week everyone? I hope you didn’t get fooled into believing too much yesterday, I am always the easiest person to trick or prank. It’s actually kind of sad. Anyway, I said that I was wouldn’t bring different trailers for the same movies again and again, but I changed my mind for this week, because I couldn’t find much new stuff (horror movies were excluded on purpose, as always they are not likely to be found on my blog). Enjoy!
Movies
Ferdinand
Why do I find this so incredibly cute? He looks so adorable.
Spider-Man: Homecoming
I love it when Toni gets all serious and tough on Peter. This looks so great already.
King Arthur: Legend of the Sword
If this movie is shit, I am going to riot like crazy! But I usually really like whatever Guy Ritchie does and Charlie Hunnam is still super fresh on my mind after binging Sons of Anarchy so … good signs!
The Mummy
I might watch it, but something about the Tom Cruise casting just doesn’t sit right with me. And this looks so dead serious and dark … I always remembered those movies with a twinkle in the eye as not being really terrifying. I legit wouldn’t have minded if Jake Johnson had been the lead instead hahaha
Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets
As always, I am amazed at how young Dane DeHaan looks.
War for the Planet of the Apes
Still can’t comment because I am missing movies in this series.
War Machineย
Fact is that I am more excited about getting a glimpse at RJ Cyler (aka Blue Power Ranger) than I will ever be about seeing Brad Pitt in anything.
The Book of Henry
I did not expect this to become so dark.
Paris Can Wait
This reminds me of the TV romance movies from the 90s.
The Journey
I highly doubt I would watch this.
An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power
I’ve seen an Inconvenient Truth so many times and it never fails to rattle me. I am sure the message here will be just as powerful, but who will listen? The fact that a sequel was necessary kind of proves the point …
The Mars Generation
According to every SciFi movie ever, humanity is supposed to colonize space. Nevermind the implications of territorial rights up there, but I admire the spirit of those kids.
TV Shows
Animal Kingdom (Season 2)
Seriously looking forward to this way more than I expected when I first started it.
What are you watching? Did anything catch your eye?
1. I think this is actually the second or third adaptation of Ferdinand. I’m pretty sure Disney did a cartoon about it back in the day, but I’m not sure when. Also, JOHN CENA!!!!!
2. Spider-Man! Spider-Man! Spider-Man!
3. Looking forward to this Planet of the Apes film even more now.
4. Yeah, I didn’t expect Book of Henry to be so dark either. But I think I’ll watch it now.
5. Yeah, we definitely need a reminder that global warming is a real threat.
And as you know, I saw the It trailer, and it was scary as hell. I also saw a trailer for some other movie, but I can’t remember very much about it, let alone a title or plot. I just know it wasn’t horror, and that kind of brought down my interest to the point where the details of the trailer flew out my head.

Oh that’s entirely possible. I highly doubt that I know everything Disney.
And I am not surprised. You are very dedicated to horror, just like I am very dedicated to keep it out of my life hahaha

Ok is Animal Kingdom any good!? I’m a huuge fan of Scott Speedman but he’s not in much lately…I wanted to watch it for him but wasn’t sure if I’d like it :p I’m so excited for King Arthur – totally on the same boat with Charlie Hunam hehe, SOA was great!

Hmmm, it depends. Do you like slow family crime drama with a psychotic touch and loads of violence? I really have no other way to describe it. But I think if you liked SoA, you should give this a chance as well!

The whole crime thing is what turned me off but if it’s like SOA then maybe you’re right :p

Well, they are full on criminals. Loads of drugs and heists, that’s just how they make their money haha

Tom Cruise + The Mummy is not a good combination!! I just can’t take him seriously in this film. He looks so out of place.
I am praying King Arthur delivers. If Guy Ritchie has any sense he’ll know not to piss of a Welsh lady.

He DOES look out of place! I don’t know who thought this was a good idea. I mean, come on, just because he attracts an audience doesn’t mean he miraculously fits every role.
And fingers crossed for Arthur!!!!

I will probably end up watching the new ‘The Mummy’ at some point but I’m not drawn to it. Like you say the old ones had like a lighthearted twinkle to them, dark moments but also funny moments. Tom Cruise also doesn’t seem the right person for me either, I would of LOVED Jake Johnson. That would of been amazing!

I totally hear you! Sometimes I just don’t get why they feel such a need to remake everything. My only consolation is that Jake Johnson is in it … even if it’s just as a side character.

Aww I agree- Ferdinand looks so cute!! And yeah the Spiderman movie looks so good!! Wow I really hope King Arthur is good too! Yeah I did not see how dark the book of Henry was gonna get either.

With the Book of Henry, I just really expected some kids movie or maybe something religious. I don’t even know, but definitely not whatever thriller this is xD

I didn’t even realise they were making another mummy, much less with Tim Cruise as the lead! I don’t think he fits well into the franchise and I feel like they’ve turned it into something it isn’t …

I agree, it just doesn’t feel right with Cruise in the movie.

The Mummy really looks like a Mission Impossible with a Mummy twist…… I’ll probably end up checking it out some day, depending on well it is received by other viewers. ๐

That’s a good plan! I will probably watch it too in the end, but maybe not in theatres.

I REALLY want to see The Book of Henry. It seems epic. I’ll also be devastated if the King Arthur movie doesn’t turn out well. I’m really hoping it’s going to be amazing.
As for The Mummy, I don’t know whether I’ll go and see it to be honest. I adore the Mummy movies I saw as a teenager. I loved Rachel Weisz in them. I’m not too happy with the Tom Cruise casting, and I think the feel of the old movies is kind of gone? I already felt like that with the third one about their kid? I’m not sure why, but I feel like they were amazing when they were more nostalgic, instead of including modern tech?

The Arthurian legend takes up such a big part of my heart, so I will be furious if they mess that up ๐ฆ but I am trying to have faith in Guy Ritchie, because he didn’t disappoint me with The Man from UNCLE either and that was a risky move to redo.
I hear you on the Mummy! I think the old feeling is entirely gone from the looks of it and I don’t like it either. I have to admit that I enjoyed the third movie though … could have something to do with me crushing on the actor who played their kid so hard hahaha

I’m really excited for The Book of Henry. I might try to go and see it at the cinema… If I can ๐ I’m a huge Naomi Watts fan

I am just worried about that movie because a lot of 10-13 year olds want to watch it but I really don’t think this movie is suited for kids.
