It’s been rather quiet in terms of my book reviews this month. First, I was in a bit of a slump and then I just got distracted by everything around me. Here’s what I did manage to read:
- Mindwalker by A.J. Steiger (2.5 stars)
- Mindstormer by A.J. Steiger (3 stars)
- The Princess Saves Herself in This One by Amanda Lovelace (4 stars)
I am not much of a poetry reader, but I absolutely adored this volume. It was extremely powerful and raw and I don’t regret adding the additional weight to my luggage by buying a physical copy of it!
Click on the titles to get redirected to the reviews and on the covers to get to the respective Goodreads pages! I am not reviewing all my books anymore, so if I haven’t posted a review on the blog, you can find a couple sentences below the title to read my thoughts!
Just yesterday, I finally moved into my home for the summer (which is also why this wrap up is a day late). You cannot imagine my joy when I had finally unpacked my suitcase, looked at the room and KNEW I could just leave it there for the next month – pure bliss!
Now that I have some sort of routine and feeling of lasting back in my life, the travel logs will start to slowly fizzle out, as you’ve probably noticed already. I’ll still update you if something exciting or special happens, but just not as regularly.
On a more exciting note, I recently did a thread on Twitter (it’s pinned to my profile) about reading what I have written for Arcadia so far. It seems like I am not even the author of that thing sometimes, but it was a lot of fun to do and it got me back into writing spirits. If I hadn’t gotten sick, I think I would be done with chapter 11 already, but I promise it will happen soon. I have all the time in the world now! If you want to get caught up on everything I’ve written so far, the link to wattpad and the chapters is also in the thread! As always, I would love some more reactions to what you are thinking about the story and the characters. It always makes my day!
TRAVEL LOGS
TRAILERS YOU MIGHT HAVE MISSED
How was your month? What did you read/watch/write/do?
I had a pretty good June. My birthday was a lot of fun, with a concert and an amusingly bad movie and some good German food. I also did a lot of work to get ready for my Boston trip (so excited!), and I started editing a novel again. Hopefully July will be just as good or even better.

That’s great! I hope you have fun in Boston and get the work done. Editing is a nightmare.

It’s sometimes easier than writing, actually.

I can’t agree with that at all.

I read a lot this month, 12 books! Which is great considering I only read about 5 last month I think. I also binged on the first 3 seasons of greys anatomy this month!

Wow, that’s amazing! You got so much reading done and aweeee, you’re still in the seasons when Grey’s was good.

Aw when does greys get bad?

Can’t tell you the exact point, but I’ve stopped watching a couple seasons ago. In my opinion it should have ended after the plane crash episode (don’t get spoiled for that one!) because after that I was just unhappy for good.

Oof I already think I got spoiled for the plane crash episode!

I swear, I never had that much of a sweet tooth before coming here, but now I am just tempted at every street corner. I am just so happy I won’t have to move for a while.
