Trailers You Might Have Missed … (Oct 16-22)

This week has shown Vancouver’s true colors with a looot of rain that there was even #Raincouver trending on Twitter. You know it’s bad when even the locals are complaining. Anyway, my friend says it’s because Vancouver is sad to see me leave and I’ll take that explanation for now. Back to the topic on hand, here are your trailers!

Black Panther

I have no words for how glorious this movie will be.

I, Tonya

I think this will be fab even though I am not sure about Margot’s accent.

I love that the young version of her is the same actress who plays young Cookie on Empire.

12 Strong

Personally not a fan of movies like that.

The Heyday of Insensitive Bastards

The cast is quite good, but I just don’t know how I feel about the episodic nature of it. It can work, but it can also go really wrong and I don’t think the trailer is that stellar.

Amanda and Jack go Glamping

It’s the indie version of Wanderlust.

It Happened in LA

I have no idea what this is about.

Mobile Homes

It looks like they showed a lot of the movie, but I think it looks still very good … in an intense way.

I Love You, Daddy

This has really heavy Woody Allen undertones.

One Percent More Humid

For Pacino, I hope this will be at least decent.

Jim & Andy The Great Beyond

Documentary of the week.

TV Shows

The Punisher

I am so excited for this, I can’t even. Also, I see Frank with Karen and I am 100% there for it.

UnREAL (Season 3)

The End of the F***ing World

I seriously don’t know what to think about this.

What are you watching? What are you excited for? Let’s talk!

  1. BLACK PANTHER!!! I am SO ready for this film to destroy me.
I read up on the Harding/Kerrigan incident and how the incident affected both skaters so I’m really interested in seeing how this film explores everything.

The Punisher. Jon Bernthal is the best actor to play that morally ambiguous character and I hope this show becomes my favourite cause I love the character. I’ve never been a fan of the Matt/Karen coupling in Daredevil and I enjoy her interactions with Frank a lot more.

    • Black Panther might just be my most anticipated Marvel movie yet. I am SO ready!
And absolutely with I, Tonya. I hope that we get a better glimpse at what they are planning to do with the film in the actual trailer.
Jon Bernthal is brilliant in the role. It’s like it was made for him! And I liked Karen better with Matt than Electra, but her and Frank have a great dynamic and I seriously jumped up and down when I found out she was going to be in the Punisher. I might just be a big fan of Deborah hahaha but I am excited for the show because of a lot of other stuff too. Ben Barnes as a villain is also cool.

  2. Wow Black Panther looks… wowwowowowowow. It’s probably good that that one left me speechless, cos it gives me an excuse for not having much to say about the rest of the trailers. Although…. what the hell was up with that last one??! I mean I know channel 4 has made some weird stuff in the past- but jeez- that was really weird.

  3. THANK YOU KAT. I forgot about UnREAL until I just saw that trailer hahaha. That show was so good – also quite devious, to be honest, but that’s what we like about it?! I don’t know. IT’s a crazy show, really, and that new season sounds just as crazy. I am SO ready as well. February is soooooo far away.
