Trailers You Might Have Missed … (Jan 22-28)

Another week has passed, another round of trailers has arrived. I feel like I am really getting back into blogging lately, with more posts per week. Let’s see for how long I can keep that up.

Pacific Rim: Uprising

I am SO excited for this movie. It looks positively legendary.

Love, Simon

Whyyyyy do I have to wait until June for this movie to be released in Austria? *sobs in the corner*

A Wrinkle in Time

Whenever I see something about this movie, I still get chills. Also, fun fact, they’ve made barbies for the characters!

I Kill Giants

It looks amazing! I feel like I should try to find the graphic novel now.

Status Update

This looks like such a cute teen movie!

Dundee: The Son of a Legend Returns Home

Please not the “FAKE” in the trailer title haha

Finding Your Feet

Umbridge and Pettigrew, huh? I did not see that coming.

The Cured

I am really not into zombie stuff, but this weirdly reminds me of BBC’s In the Flesh and I loved that.

Journey’s End

I almost didn’t recognise Sam Claflin.

Tehran Taboo

My acting teacher was part of this and it has gotten a lot of attention at festivals and I am happy for the entire crew!

Oh Lucy!

Good to see that Josh Hartnett is still amazing after he vanished for years.

TV Shows

iZombie (Season 4)

Famous in Love (Season 2)

Can’t believe it, but I am actually excited for this to come back.

Seven Seconds

I am glad racial profiling and police brutality is talked about more these days.

A fashion-based show sounds interesting.

Station 19

Sooo … that’s the name for the Grey’s spin-off. I don’t know how I feel about it. I think I am just really more of a Firehouse 51 kind of fan?

What are you doing? What are you watching? I just finished my One Day at a Time binge yesterday and I already miss the show!

  1. Thoughts:
    1. Pacific Rim: Uprising: Like the song, I’m war ready too!
    2. I Kill Giants: I didn’t think I would be, but I’m kind of interested. Reminds me of some manga and anime I like.
    3. Status Update: All I can think is, “Did I see the guy who plays Chase on Runaways in that trailer? Or was that a lookalike?”
4.The Cured: No idea if I want to watch this or pass because it’s just another zombie story.

2: I think it looks phenomenal. There’s a lot more introspection than I thought there would be. It reminded me a lot of A Monster Calls, which I absolutely adore.
3: Yes, my goodman. That was Gregg Sulkin.
4: I think it doesn’t look like all the other zombie stuff, but you watch those things more than me.

  2. I did a double take when I saw Sam Claflin in the Journey’s End. That film looks so good and will definitely punch me in the feels.
I gave up on Grey’s years ago and I can’t say I’m all that excited about Station 19.

      • I don’t know where to start. Sooo … she was supposed to marry this paramedic named Matthew but eloped with Jackson. Their first child died and she went to dangerous war zones to cope with it, leaving Jackson to cope with his grief by himself. She returned eventually but the cracks in their relationship were real. She got pregnant again and purposely divorced Jackson before telling him, because she didn’t want anyone to interfere with her pregnancy. So they aren’t together anymore but have a beautiful daughter now. Then the ominous day at the ER came. She had a woman come in about to deliver a baby, because Arizona wasn’t available, she delivered the baby. Turns out this is Matthew’s new wife and she dies in that hospital. Also, there’s a 12 yo black boy who was shot by the police in his own house. April believes in the police, but then Jackson tells her how different it is for black people. That boy dies. There is another young man being delivered to the ER. He wanted to cut off his hand because he took the words of the bible literal. He questions April in her belief and by the end of the day you see her looking terrible in a shower after she had slept with a random guy.

      • …seriously!? They have literally destroyed her character. The fact that she divorced Jackson, who is a total sweetheart, before telling him she was pregnant is so callous. I hate how they’re destroying all these characters!!! Ugh, this makes me so mad and glad I quit the show after Mark and Lexie’s deaths.

      • Their deaths were really my breaking point. After that I only watched it ironically hahaha I loved April and Jackson together, but they no longer work at all and it sucks big time. Now they want to pair Jackson with Maggie, who is his step sister but I don’t want thaaaat 😦

I totally understood Jackson’s anger when he had to deal with the loss of their first kid alone but then he turned into such an asshole at times. They are making this so hard for me!!

  3. Let me join you to cry in that corner about Simon, WHYYYYYYYYYY.
Also, THANK YOU for that Famous in Love trailer! I’m kind of happy the show is back soon, I’m excited, even, to see what will happen next πŸ˜€

  4. I can’t wait for A Wrinkle in Time! I just re-read it with my daughter. I also want to see Status Update. I’ve watched so many Disney Channel shows with Olivia Holt and Ross Lynch that I feel like it’s a must.
