Trailers You Might Have Missed … (March 26-April 1)

Happy Easter everyone! That is .. if you are celebrating Easter? Otherwise, happy Sunday!! It’s already later than per usual, so I am not even going to waste any more time. Here are your trailers!

Movies

The Darkest Minds

I haven’t read the books yet, but I hear some disgruntled voices about how this looks like the YA version of X-Men. I still want to read the books before the movie comes out, but I think it looks badass. Just … please stop using Ruelle for so many trailers maybe?

The House with the Clock in its Walls

Is this like horror for kiddos?

Krystal

What is this cast? What are those accents?

Terminal

Not going to pretend I understand what the plot is really about, but I haven’t seen Max Irons in a movie in forever.

Daphne & Velma

I did NOT know this was going to be a thing.

Kodachrome

That cast basically guarantees that I want to watch it.

Cargo

Watching the trailer already made me really sad (and a tiny bit creeped out by the thumbnail alone).

I Am Not An Easy Man

I once saw a commercial like this, but a feature length movie should be interesting.

First Reformed

Not really my thing.

And Then I Go

I can see this getting very emotional.

Measure of a Man

Movies about bullying always make me feel feels.

Lu Over the Wall

It looks kinda cute.

TV Shows

Westworld (Season 2)

Never not going to get chills from that soundtrack.

The Handmaid’s Tale (Season 2)

I did not watch the trailer, just because I still haven’t gotten around to watching the first season. But it’s on my list!

One Day at a Time

WE ARE GETTING A SEASON 3!!!

The Originals (Final Season)

Why are terrible voice overs making a comeback?? Also, there better be a lot of Caroline/Klaroline or I am not going to be happy with however this show ends.

That’s it! Hope you found something you would like to watch. Let’s chat!

  1. Thoughts:
    1. The Darkest Minds: Is that the girl who played Rue in Hunger Games?
    2. The House with a Clock in its Walls: Apparently is based on a children’s book series. I’ll possibly check it out.
    3. Daphne & Velma: I knew this was a thing, but I thought it was still in the development phase. I had no idea it was so far along. And I have no intention of seeing it.
    4. Cargo: I might see this.
    5. Lu Over the Wall: So it’s a more grown-up Ponyo? Also, I swear I’ve heard the music at the end in one of the J-Pop or K-Pop songs on my iPod.

  2. When I saw ODAAT trending on Tumblr I was SO worried Netflix had announced its cancellation, but thankfully it was trending because it’s been renewed. I was so relieved haha! I can’t wait for season 3 πŸ˜€ I hope ODAAT gets a lot of seasons – it’s what they (and we :P) deserve

  3. I don’t remember liking The Darkest Minds a lot but I do want to reread it because it was so long ago. I want to watch The Handmaids Tale as well! I read the book a while ago but I’ve been putting off the TV show just because of how intense it’ll be.

  4. I also need to pick up The Darkest Minds – That book has literally been sat on my shelf for a couple of years … untouched. It probably hates me XD
I’m still working my way through Vampire Diaries and plan on binge watching Te Originals when I’m done! πŸ˜€ I was kind of rooting for Caroline and Klaus, so going by what you wrote, I’m glad it happens… some time…XD

    • I am not saying Klaroline happens … I mean … it sort of does, but it’s difficult and they are on different shows and there are other people in their lives … but they promised in press releases that Caroline would be at least somewhat in the final season of the Originals. My hopes are not crushed yet haha

      • I don’t know – I’ve been rooting for them since Klaus showed his soft spot for her πŸ˜… it’s my first time even watching the VD so πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ and the originals I haven’t even started it yet πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ I hope you get your klaroline fix πŸ˜…

  5. OKAY BUT CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW ‘MEASURE OF A MAN’ THAT SCREENCAP LOOKS LIKE YOU LOL. First Reformed seems like one of those films that I probably won’t be on board with…then I’ll watch it and be on board with. I love what A24 has done for film thus far, and I’m sure it won’t disappoint. Also Daphne & Velma–would highkey rather watch a film about an animated Scooby.

  6. I have yet to watch The Handmaid’s Tale, but I feel like I really should! The Darkest Minds and Daphne and Velma looks a little crappy, to be honest. Probably not something I would pay to watch.

  7. Hmm I was meh about the Darkest Mind book (it is very derivative) but I kinda want to see the movie. My sister will be glad though, because she liked the book series. Oh yeah I haven’t seen Max Irons in anything for ages either- no idea what Terminal is about though. Hehe the thumbnail for cargo made it clear it’s not for me. Why are bad voiceovers making a comeback?

    • That’s good to know! I saw a cheap deal for the first book in the series, so I thought I might check it out, but it’s not super urgent for me.
The thumbnail on Cargo is SO gross!! I usually don’t even click on things like that but Martin Freeman having to care for his baby in a post-apocalyptic world where his wife has died from a zombie-ish virus was too tempting. He then gets scratched too and has to get his kid to safety before he is turned by the disease.
Bad voiceovers can go right back where they were hiding these past years!

  8. The Darkest Minds does look really badass! I also haven’t read the books yet, but maybe I must do that before the movie comes out! I also have no idea what The Terminal is actually about but I love Margot Robbie and her accent is just SO good so it’s definitely going on my to be watched list 😊
