I’ve been a little absent this week for no particular reason, but I am back with the usual Sunday Trailer post! Let’s see what I’ve got for you!
Movies
Incredibles 2
I know, I know – we are all excited!!!
Ocean’s 8
Seriously cannot wait!!
Solo: A Star Wars Story
I am going to stay cautiously optimistic about this one.
Fahrenheit 451
Seeing books burned hurts me deep inside.
Hearts Beat Loud
This looks so cute!
Hot Summer Nights
Sweet Timmy looks hella shady in this movie, but I like the trailer?
Dude
Somehow I am not 100% into this ..
Alex & the List
The dude is so going to end up with Karen Gillan in the end. I am calling it now!
Another Kind of Wedding
I am down for watching this at home on a lazy Sunday?
A Kid Like Jake
This is a different side to Jim Parsons.
Anything
I am happy these kind of stories are getting made, but I also understand why people would prefer a trans actor in the role instead of Matt Bomer, no matter how awesome he is.
American Animals
I really like the cast on this one, a bit confused by the premise.
The Wife
A movie about writers is always going to catch my eye.
The Con is On
Con-artists are always fun.
Mary Shelley
I am not the biggest Elle Fanning fan, but the subject matter is interesting of course.
Dark Crimes
Not my kind of movie, but I guess this means Jim Carrey is back for real.
In Darkness
Natalie Dormer is already pretty badass, so I think this could be interesting and tense.
Future World
It looks cheap and outdated?
The Meg
I am not made for this. That shark is freaking terrifying.
The Escape
I imagine this to be hard to watch because it’s definitely going to be emotional.
The Last Witness
I remember when people thought Pettyfer was going to be the next big thing and then he managed to kill his own career.
Birthmarked
Collette and Goode are really great actors, but I don’t like the whole kids-as-experiments-aspect.
TV Shows
Younger (Season 5)
I can’t wait for my lovelies to return!!!
Animal Kingdom (Season 3)
I need to catch up on this desperately and just hope it will help me with my Peaky Blinders withdrawal.
Fabled
Have no idea what’s happening.
Picnic at Hanging Rock
Another thing with Natalie Dormer!
That’s it! What are you thinking? What will you be watching?
I didn’t know there was a biopic about Mary Shelley’s life in the works. I’ll have to make a note to see it when it comes out.

I am pretty sure it’s a dramatized version, but it still looks interesting.

Aren’t all biopics dramatized versions, though?

But there are biodramas and there are biopics. I think that general biopics are supposed to have more truth to them. Whatever. No one knows what happened for real back then anyway.

Yeah, even memoirs and autobiographies are through a biased lens. Still, this one looks interesting. I’ll have to look it up later and see when it’s coming out.

I think it’s around May 10th, but better you confirm that again.

INCREDIBLES 2. INCREDIBLES 2. INCREDIBLES 2.
I’m just a little bit excited. Just a bit. 😛
I completely forgot that they were making a Solo film. Again, I think my best course of action is to reserve judgment.

Hahaha I was ready for those kind of Incredibles comments!

Yay Incredibles 2!!!! (you know I’m excited 😉 )
And I love the look of Fahrenheit 451 (though not the book burning, obviously)
I love the story of Mary Shelley and the origins of Frankenstein, but I’m not convinced by the trailer unfortunately
And yeah, birthmarked leaves a bad taste with the whole child experiment aspect.

The part I like most about Fahrenheit 451 is hands down Michael B Jordan hahaha
Yeah, I think I am just not overwhelmed by the Mary Shelley thing because I really am not a fan of Elle Fanning.
And right? I am glad I am not the only one thinking it’s a bit strange with Birthmarked.

hehehe me too 😉
Yeah fair enough, I don’t know the actress, but I wasn’t keen on her in the trailer tbh.
Yes! Me too!!

OMG you just made me crave to binge-watch Younger season 4! I have been keeping it for my holidays but… You know when you have a million things to do and the TV is calling you? Yep, that’s happening right now xD

Ok so first things first, I am SO FREAKING EXCITED ABOUT THE INCREDIBLES 2. *flails around on the floor* I have been WAITING with extreme patience since the end of the first movie. I’m not super keen on the trailer though… I LOVE that it’s Elastigirl’s time in the limelight but, maybe it’s the editing of the trailer, the characters seemed a bit weird and not themselves?
Secondly, HOLY FRAKKING WHAT MICHAEL B JORDAN IN FAHRENHEIT 451?!?!?!?!

I am just still feeling strange because I expected the people from Incredibles to age a little bit? I know they are animated, but it’s been such a long time. I just feel like it’s off haha
Michael B Jordan is everything and I would watch pretty much anything he is in, it’s just all the cooler that it’s Fahrenheit 451.

I so relate on Solo! When it comes to Fahrenheit 451, I’m in a weird place… I haven’t read the book yet, I know Lilly Singh (one of the people I stan the most) is in it, and all of this has lead to me not yet watching the trailer! And I probably won’t until I read the book… Agh, I’m so weird, I did the same with Ready Player One (reading it rn though).
Great post, as always!!

That’s an interesting approach to movie adaptations. I personally have read books because I loved the trailer, it gives me a kick of motivation. But I do realise that we are all different in our approach 😀
How are you feeling about Ready Player One? I am kind of the odd one out when it comes to that book.

Very true!
I’m not yet sure about Ready Player One- been enjoying it so far, but that’s mostly because I really appreciate the 1980 references 😀
