Wow, I cannot believe July is almost over. Time is flying and there’s so many more films and TV shows ahead of us. Here are this week’s trailers!
Movies
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before
THIS IS GOING TO BE SO GREAT!!!!
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (Book-to-Screen Featurette)
You all know me! I love this book and I cannot wait to finally watch the movie.
What They Had
Is it weird that I think Hillary Swank is being type-cast for movies with sicknesses?
Mid 90s
I think I could like this movie and the fact that Jonah Hill directed it, intrigues me, but … why do I go to the movies for a 3:4 format? I like our current ones more.
Blue Iguana
Sam Rockwell!!
Hunter Killer
I just … get super bored with these movies?
Finale Score
Nope.
The Happy Prince
I think this has already had its run in the UK, but whatever.
Operation Finale
Even with Oscar Isaac, I am not sure I want to watch this.
Bad Reputation
Biopic of the week. (And no, this is not Noel Fielding in the thumbnail!)
TV Shows
Riverdale (Season 3)
I stand by my statement that this show is a trash fire. It’s all over the place and trying to be gritty SO hard. As if serial killers and mobsters weren’t enough, we are now adding a cult. I guess we’ll need it to introduce The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. As long as I get more Alice and FP, I might tune in.
Camping
Jennifer Garner in a comedy series … with David Tennant … I did not see this coming.
The First
I don’t know how I feel about the colonialisation of Mars in real life but it might work as a dramatic SciFi series.
Iron Fist (Season 2 Date Announcement)
Castlevania (Season 2)
I hear they made more episodes for this season and even got greenlit to at least prep Season 3.
What are you watching? See anything you like in the post? Let’s talk!
Really looking forward to Iron Fist and Castlevania season 2.

David Tennant and Jennifer Garner in a comedy film? Not in a million years did I think I’d write that sentence haha. I keep seeing Castlevania pop up on my Netflix recommendations, but I have no idea what the show is even about!

I know, it’s not something I thought I’d see either!
Hmm, Castlevania is based on a game, I think. It’s basically Dracula getting mad and loosing faith in humanity and therefore deciding to curse it. Of course there are underground rebels who want to prevent that.

I really need to get round to reading To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. YA contemporary isn’t usually my thing, but it sounds so nice and I’ve heard such great things.
I think I might like the The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society book too much to want to watch the film, if that makes any sense? They’ve had adverts in our local train station for weeks and weeks, and every time I see it I think how little I want to watch it…

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is absolutely funny and cute with a bit of awkward, but it was really great.
Hmmm .. I am never like that with movies. I am always too curious haha but I guess I understand what you mean.

I have a very strange relationship with Riverdale. I guess it’s because I had such high hopes and they keep disappointing me. I just can’t take it seriously anymore.

I kind of want to see Mid90s. Not just for Jonah Hill’s directing, etc, but because I remember the mid 90s.

At least I’m not alone in that…

Haha I remember you loved The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, and it’s on my shelf to read! But at this rate, I feel like I’ll probably end up watching the movie first, which isn’t really a problem since I don’t think I’ll be able to get to the book soon; maybe the movie will compel me to pick it up faster afterwards. 😉

I really do love it! And that totally makes sense. I am sure the movie won’t be identical to the book, but it will give you a good idea whether you want to read it or not. 🙂

I’m excited for To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before but I’ve been avoiding the trailer because I still haven’t read the book (oops). The Potato Peel Society looks super good. I can’t believe a movie like Finale Score can be made. Mid 90s looks good and Operation Finale as well!

If you take a look at the Teaser not the the Trailer for To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, it’s actually the thing that finally got me to read the book. It doesn’t reveal as much as the trailer does.

I am SO hyped for To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before! That trailer is amazing and so spot on, I really hope the whole movie is amazing and that it does the book justice! Totally have to agree that Riverdale is trash fire, I still have a few episodes left of season 2, but I will probably continue watching season 3 – I am basically trash for this show at the moment!

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before looks good from the trailer indeed! I hope it holds up in the end, but for now I am not too worried. Jenny Han seems really happy with it as well 😀
