I know my posts haven’t been very varied, but I guess watching shows is just all I am capable of these days. I think most of you like these posts, so I hope you don’t mind the flood of them that you are getting! Here’s my latest binge-watches:
The OA (Part 2)
I REFUSE to show you any material from this show. I had to wait literal years for this continuation of the story and I am still head over heels in love with it all. The fact that a mere human thought of this just baffles my mind every single time. The OA is so out there, requires so much faith and patience and attention, I very much doubt it is for everyone. However, if you are willing to go on a one of a kind trip with a show that will mess with your head, make you doubt reality and break your heart with its bittersweet beauty, then please, please, please watch it. One of the best mind-benders out there!
(Although if you have watched the show and want to talk spoilers, either carefully mark them in your comments below, write me a mail via impossiblegirlblog@gmail.com or DM me on Twitter!)
On My Block (Season 2)
This is another show that I have anticipated the return of. If you want to check out what it’s all about from season 1, I wrote a detailed but non-spoilery post about it here. The first season ended on a massive cliffhanger and so did this season, although I somehow found it less hardcore. I have some theories as to what might have happened, but maybe I am totally off key.
Either way, this is such a heart-warming and great show and I am immensely happy it got to do another season. I sincerely hope they will keep going again, but if the other fans who have eagerly waited for its return binged it as quickly as me, there’s a good chance that more content is coming. I like how On My Block always manages to balance really serious topics with so much humour. These kids have to endure more at the age of 14 than others in their lifetime. Also, the friendship dynamic is so interesting and always keeps changing and evolving. This season, my favourite duo was Jasmine and Ruby though, they did such a great job!
Queer Eye (Season 3)
I mean, it’s Queer Eye. What do you want me to say about it? I love this show and it’s so great to watch something positive and seemingly superficial that can go quite deep every now and then. I have to say that this season didn’t hit me as hard emotionally as some of the previous ones, but maybe that’s just because I am in a different mind space right now. I still love them to bits and like that even from episode to episode, each one resonates differently with every viewer, just based on their own life and hardships. The Fab 5 did not disappoint again!
After Life
This show came much recommended to me, but I did not find it as a revelatory as some people have said it was for them. I think it’s a good show and it’s a good take on grief, but “brilliant” is not the word I would have used. In fact, I was quite unhappy with how some parts of it turned out. Still, that doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy it, I just don’t think it’s something completely new and mesmerizing. The fact that Joe Wilkinson and Roisin Conaty were in it made it really hard for me to not find it funny sometimes since my brain just directly went to 8 Out of 10 Cats (Does Countdown).
Have you watched any of these? What is your take on them? Do you want to start watching any of these shows? Let’s chat!
I haven’t been watching any of these, but I’ve been binge-watching this fantasy anime that’s been getting a lot of good buzz. A second season’s already been ordered, it’s that popular, and honestly, I can see why. I kind of wanna be the main character, even if that means becoming a slime monster!

Queer Eye is just so wholesome!
As for Deadly Class, I have read the comics and tried the first episode, but overall it’s just too violent for me. I have to be in a certain mood to enjoy shows like that.

The OA is amazing! Please don’t read up on it or watch any promos, just let yourself be wrapped up in the story (and don’t forget to message me if you want to talk about it during or after)
