So, this first week of June was quite hot where I live and I am not here for it at all. I know everyone is looking forward to summer, but the heat is exactly why I don’t. That’s my personal weekly update, but now on to the trailers!
Movies
Brittany Runs a Marathon
I kind of love the trailer already. Here’s to hoping this will be as great in long format and serve as some sort of inspiration.
Shaft
Not saying I wouldn’t absolutely watch this, but the way this trailer was edited was weird.
Being Frank
Kind of digging this weirdness.
Funny Story
Not sure there is actually anything funny about this.
Luce
Now we’re talking! I love movies that are able to make trailers that don’t in fact tell you all there is and actually keep you interested in what is going to happen in the end. Who is lying? Who is telling the truth? What’s going on?
Ad Astra
Give me all the weird space stories and I shall watch them eventually. (Also, the title just makes me think of Red Rising. Per aspera ad astra and all that jazz)
After the Wedding
I have no idea what’s going on, but looks interesting enough.
Ford v. Ferrari/Le Mans 66
I like racing movies, but it is wild how dangerous that stuff is if you really think about it.
TV Shows
Carnival Row
I don’t have any idea what is happening. I WILL watch this, but … Orlando Bloom is too old to date someone like Cara on screen and I don’t have to like it, even if others don’t care.
The Rook
This is also a book and I am very interested in it all. Give me all the supernatural/magic stuff.
Jessica Jones (Season 3)
I am looking forward to this. Krysten even directed part of this season.
Money Heist (Part 3)
Reef Break
This looks exactly like a show that won’t even make it through an entire season.
Did anything here catch your eyes? Are you going to watch something from the list? Let’s talk about it!
Definitely looking forward to Luce. I saw the trailer on Naomi Watts’ instagram. I’ll try and find time for Jessica Jones too!

Luce really has my attention, because I am not even 100% sure which genre I am supposed to put it in.

Thoughts:
1. Luce: After seeing Ma, I’m definitely intrigued by this.
2. Ad Astra: Yeah, I thought of Red Rising as well.
3. Ford vs. Ferrari: Trailer looks nice, but it won’t get my butt in the seat.
4. Jessica Jones: YES!

I haven’t heard too great of a thing about the new season of Jessica Jones. They probably knew too late that it was the final Marvel addition on Netflix to change much about the story. I guess I will see eventually.

I dont mind the summer, but I can’t stand it if it’s too hot. I can handle the heat up until a certain point.
Anyways, I was definitely get Red Rising vibes from Ad Astra. Looks pretty good though.
I still need to catch up on Jessica Jones, but I can’t find it in me to start another TV show just yet haha.

Well, it’s already too hot here, so I am not looking forward to actual summer at all haha

It’s getting really hot where I live, too. I hadn’t heard about a lot of these before, which is why I love reading these posts. Luce is giving me some Get Out and Us vibes, it looks pretty interesting. Brittany Runs a Marathon looks like it’ll be funny and uplifting. I’ve been seeing ads for Shaft but I’m on the fence about whether I’ll go out and see it.

Oh, you are getting horror vibes from Luce? I was thinking more along the lines of psychological thriller. Either way, I am really looking forward to it.

Yeah, I feel that too for sure. I’m iffy about it since I’m not a big fan of those kinds of things, but it does seem interesting
