Trailers You Might Have Missed … (Aug 12-18)

I don’t want to jinx it, but I feel like I have been really consistent and good with my posts lately. I can already tell you that I probably won’t keep that up next week, because I have a ton of plans already, but I like the idea of finding my blogging groove again, especially during my birthday month/leo season. Today is all about trailers though (and some great ones I might add), so here we go!

Movies

Little Women

I know that a lot of people are very attached to the 90s movie adaptation, but I am loving the look of this so far. And THAT MONOLOGUE!!! It really touched me when Saoirse talked about how women are more than appearances and not just fit for love. (Fun fact: that monologue is actually from Rose in Bloom and not Little Women the book, which makes me think Greta did her homework).

Last Christmas

Is it too early to be pumped about a Christmas movie? (And please don’t come into my comments talking about how Henry might be a ghost. I don’t want to think about the tragic part of it all. For all we know he could be Santa.)

Can You Keep a Secret?

I know it looks super cliché, but I read this 15 odd years ago and LOVED it. So far, it’s my favourite Kinsella book and I am really excited that they made it into a movie with Tyler Hoechlin and Alexandra Daddario.

Dolemite Is My Name

The cast of this is on fire.

Falling Inn Love

This is such a Hallmark-romance movie, but I can’t help and think of Unreal whenever I see the main dude.

A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish

I used to be on board with the Cinderella story “sequels” but this is … just too silly now. The Hillary Duff version will forever be the most superior Cinderella story movie.

A Hidden Life

Let’s just say Terrence Malick is an acquired taste that I have never acquired.

The Kill Team

Alexander Skarsgard does so well playing a creepy/scary dude.

Brian Banks

I know this is a true story and all, but I know nothing about that stuff.

Zeroville

For a movie about editing … this is terribly edited.

Strange but True

Nope, not for me.

TV Shows

9-1-1 (Season 3)

Buck hanging out with Eddie’s son warms my heart, but I am already panicked at the sight of Christopher clinging to that lamppost. They can’t just do normal emergencies, can they??? (Please let this be the season that Buck and Eddie rise as a ship. Please!)

13 Reasons Why (Season 3)

I feel like everyone already knows the biggest spoiler anyway and that show is so far removed from what it first tried to do.

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance

I know a lot of people know this and grew up with it and whatnot, but I have no clue about any of it.

Shameless (Season 10)

I haven’t watched the show for a couple seasons now, but GALLAVICH IS BACK!

Did you see anything on the list that you might want to watch? Let’s talk about it!

  1. Little Women looks so good. I’m unfamiliar with the story so I’m really excited for it. Also excited for Last Christmas too, I hope Henry is not what everyone say’s he is either!! 😖

  2. Strange but True looks like it’s trying at first to be an edgy thriller, but then dives headlong into feel-good drama about family and love and second chances, and then tries again to be a thriller while keeping that upbeat tone. Yeah, I’m going to repeat your assessment: “Nope, not for me.”

  3. I recently watched the Little Women trailer and… without having seen any adaptation of it or read the book (I know…..), this looks really, really good and I think I’d watch it 😀
Last Christmas is something I’d watch, it looks SO Good.
And Falling Inn Love…. oh I spotted that guy from UNreal and I felt weird too hahaha. Still, I’m here for these kind of movies always, you know me, so I’ll watch that 😀
About Cinderella… YES AGREE, Hilary Duff’s version will always be the best one.
