Trailers You Might Have Missed … (Jul 6-12)

It’s Sunday and we all know what that means – Trailers! I haven’t been super active this week, because my time has mostly been tied up with my art challenge. I am actually going to do a sort of check up post in the middle of it all next week, but until then, please be patient with me.

Movies

Baby Done

Rose Matafeo is hilarious and Matthew Lewis as the male lead? Sign. Me. Up.

I Used to Go Here

This is giving me mad “the Lifeguard” vibes with Kristen Bell. But also, is it really too much to ask for Zoe Chao to get a lead role instead of the quirky friend?

The One and Only Ivan

Who tries to domesticate a gorilla? I used to love the circus when I was little, but now I just feel sad when I see animals in them.

Endless

This is like a more recent version of Ghost, but it also reminds me of this movie The Invisible, which I adored.

Woke

It looks legit really good. And I’m always here for Winston from New Girl.

Above Suspicion

Emilia Clarke with a Southern accent just feels … weird.

Tesla

Ethan Hawke as Tesla – enough said!

The Kissing Booth 2

If you like this, good for you, but I am going to hate watch this film.

Lost Girls and Love Hotels

Alexandra Daddario is making interesting (and often dark) career choices lately.

TV Shows

Away

I like space stuff, so I am interested.

A Suitable Boy

I think I’d watch this.

The Umbrella Academy (Season 2)

Not what I thought where this season would go, but I am not against it. Who am I even kidding? I am beyond excited for this release already.

The Boys (Season 2)

SO PUMPED.

Die Hart

Quibi has the most random content.

Indian Matchmaking

I mean, there’s many other matchmaking shows, so, why not one focused on Indians and their way of finding relationships?

Love on the Spectrum

And if people on the autism spectrum want to date, they also should.

Did you see something you’d like to watch this week? Let’s chat!

  1. No comments on this week’s trailers, but what you said about Quibi content rang true to me. They just greenlit an adaptation of a manga by a famous horror manga author (who also liked/retweeted my tweet about the adaptation news) and I’m like, “What’s a Quibi? Oh, it specializes in ten-minute episodes? How wacky.”
I’m interested in what else they put out there.

  2. Tesla with Ethan Hawke. The reason that this movie makes me uncomfortable is that after The Current War which was buried because of the Weinstein Company and which featured Tesla, they now have decided to have a movie that focused on Tesla only. Convenient…and sad for another film.
