Trailers You Might Have Missed … (Oct 19-25)

This shouldn’t really be news to anyone, but I have been quite busy these past weeks. I don’t really want to get into detail about it, but let’s just say it probably won’t really change in the near future. I will figure out a new schedule, but there might be a couple weeks of 2 posts only again. Just as a fair warning. But now on to the trailers!

Raya and the last Dragon

It looks SO freaking badass! And the music is really what’s getting me.

Dash & Lily

The Prom

I am honestly a little confused by this, but I am also very intrigued.

Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square

The cast is amazing, but this is gonna be cheese pure.

The Christmas Chronicles 2

Let’s be real, it did not need a sequel.

I know a lot of people are here for Margot Robbie, but I am all in for Finn Cole.

I am always wary of movies that use numbers instead of letters in the title.

What We Wanted

Seeing Elyas M’Barek in more serious roles gives me life, because I know that’s what he wants.

Wander Darkly

I thought this was just a relationship drama, but no … so much more!

The Life Ahead

I bet this is gonna be heartbreaking in some way.

Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom

I already know I am gonna love the music.

The Last Vermeer

I don’t like the energy of this trailer.

I love that they are really going for that old look.

The Liberator

I don’t think this is for me, but I still find the animation style kinda interesting.

Again, I don’t think this is for me.

Sarah Paulson is such a legend.

TV Shows

They’re back.

The Flight Attendant

Seeing Michiel Huisman as a ghost is just a trip after Hill House.

Doesn’t look bad at all.

The Minions of Midas

Such an interesting ethical dilemma set up!

Your Honor

Loads of serious shows coming out.

FOX Lineup for 2021

A Million Little Things (Season 3)

How bad is it that I don’t want Maggie to come back or at least not get back together with Gary?

The Good Doctor (Season 4)

The fans were done dirty last season, sooo …

Did you see something you’d like to watch on today’s list? Let’s talk about it!

  1. Why on earth do we need anther Christmas Chronicles film. The first one was charming enough, I don’t need another. Saying that I’m probably still gonna watch it haha.

Raya and the last Dragon looks epic. I can already see myself being swept away by this one.

The Prom looks a bit naff tbh. It could be charming and fun, but I’m just not drawn to it.

    • I really don’t need it at all. I liked the first one and this just feels like them trying to capitalize on something that was sweet as was.

Raya and the last Dragon will be so good sobs

I am just so confused by the Prom. Why are all these adults inserting themselves in the lives of teens??

  2. Thoughts:
    1. Raya and the Last Dragon: It looks interesting, I’ll give it that.
    2. The Prom: I want to see this. I have been lacking in musicals since July, so I am all for this.
    3. Run: Sarah Paulson is a national treasure and should be treated as such.
    4. Animaniacs: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! I can’t wait!! I wonder if they’ll bring back any of the other characters from the classic show. God willing, Slappy Squirrel will make an appearance!

  3. Omg, I’m SO excited for Dash & Lily!! The trailer looks absolutely fantastic and just what I was hoping for plus the actors also fit into how I imagined the characters 🥰
I also gotta be honest, I’m lowkey down for Christmas Chronicles 2 😂 I loved the first one and though the sequel seems to be a bit different, I’m here for some pure fun 😊

    • I am so excited about Dash and Lily too! I haven’t read the sequels, but I have great memories of it.
I don’t know about the Christmas Chronicles 2 … I think it’s very far removed from a movie I enjoyed.

  4. So great that you include all these different trailers and introduce us to these films. Dreamland looks interesting. I see that it is from Nicholas Jarecki, the director who we have not seen since Arbitrage (2012) which I thought was a decent enough film.
