This week was an absolute whirlwind for me. I meant to post a lot more, but work and moving really took up a lot of my time. Regardless, we are here, like every Sunday, to check out some new trailers. Let’s go!
Movies
The 355
I live for female spy movies.
Boxing Day
I want to watch this right now.
Love Hard
Nina Dobrev getting her Netflix time to shine, but this is like when they tried to make catfishing cute in Sierra Burgess … it’s just … not cute.
Rhapsody of Love
I just … am not into cheating plotlines.
Cyrano
Cyrano plots are fun!! I say that and just bashed a catfishing story earlier … hmmm …
Violet
I think I’m going to be interested in this one.
tick, tick … BOOM!
Pretty sure I shared the teasers before.
Red Rocket
I thought it would be terrible, but the trailer actually has me intrigued.
Heart of Champions
The title just screams sports movie!
Operation Micemeat
Colin Firth in historic movies just makes sense.
The Trip
I didn’t expect this to look so silly?
Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City
It went completely over my head that they were rebooting/continuing Resident Evil?
Yara
Again, with Netflix, I’m not sure it’s actually a movie.
Found
It’s a documentary about adoptions from abroad.
TV Shows
An Astrological Guide for Broken Hearts
It looks cute and fun. I’m in!
The Afterparty
HERE. FOR. IT!
House of the Dragon
There’s so much prequel content for Game of Thrones coming and I’m excited about exactly zero of them.
And Just Like That (Sex and the City Revival)
No particular feelings about this yet.
Peacemaker (Sneak Peek)
I still need to watch Suicide Squad.
Locke & Key (Season 2)
I’m so looking forward to this. Hadn’t even realized how much until I got sucked into the trailer again.
Lost in Space (final season)
I CANNOT WAIT!!! Let my favorite mechanic and his chicken be alright.
Hanna (Season 3)
I honestly haven’t even attempted to watch the first 2 seasons.
Outlander (Season 6)
Should I even try to catch up? I forgot when I stopped watching …
Animal Kingdom (Season 6)
I think it’s good it’s coming to an end.
Thoughts:
1. 355: It looks like fun. I might check it out when it hits home media.
2. Cyrano: I saw a production of Cyrano when I was a kid and remember enjoying it, though I don’t think I really understood the plot. This looks ten times better, and I like the idea of Cyrano having dwarfism than a giant nose (way too anti-Semitic a trope, even if the character is mostly positive in my memory).
3. Resident Evil: I have never been a fan of this franchise, though I applaud it for what it did for the zombie subgenre.
4. House of the Dragon: Still haven’t seen the Game of Thrones TV show. Speaking of which, where’s Book 6?!
5. Peacemaker: Suicide Squad has my vote of confidence, for what it’s worth. And I look forward to this!

I haven’t heard anything bad about this Suicide Squad, I just haven’t had the time. I’m looking forward to it, mostly because of some of the cast, but also … king Shark. Definitely King Shark haha
As for Game of Thrones, everyone’s wondering about the book. I won’t even read it at this point, but I want to know the fate of my favorite characters. I just know the show messed up the final seasons …

Kat, I was not sure if you ever watched the Peacemaker series. After Suicide Squad, I could not believe they were making an entire series based on that character,, and I had zero interest in watching it. However, reviews were mostly positive…and James Gunn didn’t disappoint me very often, so a couple of days ago I gave it a look. I’m already done the series, and was blown away by how good it was. Excellent tv. In fact, even though I am Team Marvel, I consider Peacemaker to be as good as anything Marvel has come up with series-wise. Was curious to know if you saw it, and if you haven’t, wanted to recommend you give it a try.

Hey, thanks for the recommendation! Peacemaker is on my list, especially since I like the actor who plays Vigilante, but I haven’t gotten around to it yet. I’ve heard nothing but good things though!
