I can’t believe we’re so close to Christmas. It’s less than a week away. Oh well, time keeps flying and I know we’re all here for trailers rather than my ramblings. So, let’s check out what this week has to offer!
Movies
The Lost City
Please, this looks so much fun! I want it!! (And, as my lovely friends pointed out, it’s very reminiscent of Romancing the Stone)
Everything Everywhere All at Once
This looks so dope, I’m beyond pumped! Michelle Yeoh (who should really have been in the title of the video) is killing it!
The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent
Look at my man, Pedro Pascal, making a chaotic movie with Nic Cage. HERE FOR IT!
Minions 2: The Rise of Gru
I guess they couldn’t stop, since that franchise is making so much money.
The Bad Guys
They don’t look like bad guys at all?
Fantastic Beasts 3: The Secret of Dumbledore
I do not wish to support She Who Shall Not Be Named, so I won’t see this in theaters. I also have thoughts on the whole recasting debacle, but I don’t want to get into it. Mads is cool though. Also, looks like Theseus is gonna get over Leta real quick?
Home Team
Sometimes I like silly sports movies.
Big Gold Brick
This movie is SO odd!
Aline
This is the Céline Dion biopic.
All My Puny Sorrows
Looks good in a non-mainstream kind of way.
Italian Studies
I have no idea what this is about, but Vanessa Kirby.
Brazen
Eh, I guess it looks alright. I know some people are happy to see Alyssa Milano on their screens again.
Home
Didn’t know Franka Potente was a filmmaker now.
TV Shows
How I Met Your Father
I’m really into the cast and I think it would be fun, but I have SUCH trust issues after HIMYM. The final season burned me hard and I don’t want to get invested and then disappointed again.
The Afterparty
I’ve shared a teaser before, but I’m really looking forward to this. I think (hope?) it will be super fun.
Severance
Looks unique but also reminds me of something (maybe Maniac?). Either way, it looks good.
The Girl Before
This might have been released already?
Somebody Somewhere
Could be cool.
Creamerie
Not gonna lie, this freaks me out just a little bit.
The Cleaning Lady
I’m looking forward to this. It seems like a thrilling concept.
All American: Homecoming
I’m sad if this spin-off means the break up of Jordan and Simone.
Naomi
With a lot of the DC shows ending, the CW had to stack up again. I hope this will be on the level of Stargirl, Superman & Lois as well as (the unfortunately cancelled) Black Lightning, which are the ones I enjoy most on that network.
The Gilded Age
I’ve shared this before, it’s just longer this time.
The House
It definitely has the creep-factor down!
Killing Eve (Season 4/Final Season Teaser)
I mean, it doesn’t show much yet.
A writer suddenly finding themselves in a scenario straight out of their own stories. For some, it might be a paradise or a holiday. For others, it would be Hell. And you can guess which one I fall on, lol.

Which of your stories would you least mind getting stuck in?

Tough to choose. But I guess my story in The Jewish Book of Horror, “The Divorce from God,” would be a good choice, because it’s our world, essentially. It’s just my fictional take on a true story, so I should be fine on that one. Especially since nothing would happen to make me fall victim to the characters of that story.

That makes sense. Why put yourself knowingly in danger, right?

Exactly! Even if not all of my worlds contain magic books with mutative powers, killer mermaids or machines that cross dimensions, better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks for sharing! I’m honestly not too sure about How I Met Your Father, I hope it’s unique and doesn’t really try to copy HIMYM! It’s actually hilarious, I love the HIMYM ending – I thought it was perfect for everyone, even though I love Barney and Robin!!

I hate the ending of HIMYM with a passion, sorry! haha

I have not 😦 I also don’t know when I’ll be able to go and dodging spoilers has become increasingly hard.

That was my first time watching the trailer for All My Puny Sorrows and, wow, I can already tell that that will be a gut-wrenching film. I loved Sarah Gadon in 11/22/63 on Hulu and haven’t seen any other production with her in it, so I’ll definitely add that one to my watchlist! Great post as always 😊

Sarah Gadon was also really great in Alias Grace, if you’re interested in a mini-series! Thanks for stopping by 🙂
