I’m always unsure about these biopics, especially when they release soon-ish after the event. That’s just a me-thing though.

Okay, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Oliver Jackson-Cohen (my man, who will forever play creeps or shady people) and Francois Arnaud? Apple TV+ is doing the good work again.

Thoughts:
1. Hocus Pocus 2: Get on watching Hocus Pocus, because it’s fun! Parts of it haven’t aged well, but it’s still a great, nostalgic watch. I look forward to the new film.
2. The Invitation: Not sure if I’m interested. This gives away too much.

I don’t know. I saw the opening sequence of Hocus Pocus like a dozen times and could never sit through the whole thing.
The Invitation is totally my kind of horror haha especially because of the lead actress.

Nathalie Emmanuel was in Game of Thrones, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Army of Thieves and a couple Fast and Furious movies. She’s great!

I just watched Hocus Pocus for the FIRST time last year, and that was one wild trip for having been made so long ago. Then, I read just this week a Hocus Pocus 2 is on the way. At least I won’t have to go back and watch the original again to remember what happened. I know people “grew up” with the movie and it has a decent-size following.

Started Paper Girls, in part because of some light comparisons to Stranger Things. Now just two episodes left to go. Pleasantly surprised, and will look for your comparison post to the graphic novel.
