Trailers You Might Have Missed … (June 27-July 3/2022)

I still haven’t recovered from the release of Stranger Things Vol. 2 (I talked about it here), but there’s already new things to discover. Let’s get started with today’s Trailer Sunday!

Ticket to Paradise

This trailer shows TOO MUCH! But I’ll still happily watch this.

Mack & Rita

LOVE this role for Dianne Keaton!

See How They Run

Saoirse Ronan and Sam Rockwell!? Was this made for me personally??

Hocus Pocus 2

Confession time: I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen Hocus Pocus?

The Invitation

This is giving me BIG Ready or Not vibes mixed with a bit of Get Out. I love it?

No clue what’s going on, but it looks cool.

Thirteen Lives

I’m always unsure about these biopics, especially when they release soon-ish after the event. That’s just a me-thing though.

Rebecca Hall is just fantastic.

Sharp Stick

I’m sorry to the cast and crew, but Lena Dunham is a hard pass for me.

TV Shows

Okay, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Oliver Jackson-Cohen (my man, who will forever play creeps or shady people) and Francois Arnaud? Apple TV+ is doing the good work again.

Paper Girls

I have the first volume of the graphic novel! You already know I’m going to write a comparison post when this releases.

The Resort

I’m not even into the murdery aspects, but THE CAST! I’m in.

Look at the cast actually looking like kids!

Everything’s Trash

Sometimes Freeform doesn’t just have trash.

Keep Breathing

I think this might have been better as a movie. I don’t know if I can sit through a whole survival scenario as a show and I say that as someone who watched Yellowjackets and The Wilds.

Justice Served

The South African film industry is thriving on Netflix.

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series (Season 3)

YES! This better be Sofia’s season. I love her.

Good Trouble (Season 4)

Where the frick did that girlfriend of Dennis come from??? I need him and Davia to finally figure things out.

Did you spot something you’d like to watch? Let’s chat!

  1. Thoughts:
    1. Hocus Pocus 2: Get on watching Hocus Pocus, because it’s fun! Parts of it haven’t aged well, but it’s still a great, nostalgic watch. I look forward to the new film.
    2. The Invitation: Not sure if I’m interested. This gives away too much.

  2. I just watched Hocus Pocus for the FIRST time last year, and that was one wild trip for having been made so long ago. Then, I read just this week a Hocus Pocus 2 is on the way. At least I won’t have to go back and watch the original again to remember what happened. I know people “grew up” with the movie and it has a decent-size following.
