I meant to post this earlier today, but I was too wrapped up in reading the first book in the Murderbot Diaries series to tear myself away. Those novella style series always get me hooked and then I’m too broke to continue because the rest of the books are much more expensive. ANYWAY, that’s a topic for a whole other day, let’s take a look at the latest movie and TV show trailers and promos!
Movies
On the Come Up
Based on the book by Angie Thomas, who brought us The Hate U Give, this is surely going to be good.
WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story
Weird seems fitting, yep. Not in a bad way at all though!
The Swearing Jar
But … why is it called the Swearing Jar?
The Swimmers
This being based on a true story is just so heartbreaking. The trailer looks really well done.
Dead for a Dollar
Willem Dafoe AND Christoph Waltz!?
Summit Fever
No, thank you. My fear of heights is noping out of there.
The Son
Hugh Jackman is out for an Oscar.
Rainbow
“This is not a movie. It’s a trip.” is one heck of a tagline, they better deliver.
Girls Girls Girls
Title seems accurate.
The Infernal Machine
Even if he just sends the messages himself, Guy Pearce’s performances are usually interesting.
Nanny
Yes, Anna Diop!!!
The Visitor
We’ve had this storyline before, haven’t we?
Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey
It sure is something.
Slayers
Vampires are having such a comeback, but this looks so trashy.
MK Ultra
I just saw Anson Mount and clicked, but don’t think this is my kind of movie.
TV Shows
The English
Looks like it’s going to be brutal.
The Imperfects
What if this becomes my new Being Human?
Am I Being Unreasonable?
Is it bad that I only know Daisy May Cooper from Taskmaster?
Santo
I’m afraid this isn’t for me.
Walker: Independence
Walker did not need a prequel series.
Thai Cave Rescue
I can’t believe they’re actually just calling it Thai Cave Rescue, but at least people will know what it’s about right away.
Ludik
South African Netflix is creating more and more content, which is great stuff.
The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers (Season 2)
I … never finished season 1. I’m sorry.
All American: Homecoming (Season 2)
I kind of dropped most of my CW shows, except for maybe 2 (Stargirl and Nancy Drew), so I have no clue.
Big Sky (Season 3)
Jensen Ackles is joining all the casts now.
Manifest (Season 4)
Let’s hope it gets a worthy ending.
All American (Season 5)
I gotta admit that I didn’t watch Season 4 … whoops.
can’t wait for on the come up!

Woah I didn’t even realise they were making a movie of Winnie the Pooh?! The vibe looks certainly… interesting?? 😂

Yeah, they went super unhinged with this version.

YES!!! While I feel like the promotion for THUG was seen and heard everywhere, On the Come Up has been sorta low-key. But it is releasing and soon!

Is it weird that I’m here for the Weird Al movie? I imagine it’s going to be highly entertaining.

Thoughts:
1. Weird: Looks like so much fun.
2. Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey: I’ve been having so many discussions with people about this and how it even got to be made. We can’t wait to actually see it.

I wonder sometimes as well, who exactly greenlit this Winnie the Pooh version, but at the same time, it’s a mess that I just find hilarious.

We’ll have to compare notes if we both see it

It’s more likely that I’ll watch a youtuber react to it than that I watch the whole movie myself, but who knows?

Walker did not need a prequel series. Instead, the CW should have moved forward with the Arrow spin-off Green Arrow & The Canaries. Katherine McNamara would still have had a job. The Winnie the Pooh movie…this may be a situation where you see the car crash and you just can’t look away…

Oh, I would have liked that! I enjoyed the grown up kids from the Arrow show!!
I don’t think I can sit through the Winnie the Pooh movie myself, but I’m looking forward to diving into some reaction videos on youtube and such!
