Trailers You Might Have Missed … (Nov 28-Dec 4/2022)

Trailers You Might Have Missed This Week

Well, well … so far so good on my plan to blog on the daily in December. Do I have anything in mind for tomorrow? Let’s just say it’s not looking as good. But today we’re here to check out the latest TV and movie trailers.

Movies

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

I’m outing myself here, but I’ve always enjoyed the Transformers movies.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny

Okay! Here for it?

Guardians of the Galaxy 3

After the Holiday Special, I’m in the mood for more guardians.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie

It looks better than the teaser, but I’m still not happy with Chris Pratt doing the voice of Mario.

When You Finish Saving the World

Feels fairly normal for an A24 movie. Just a good family drama.

The Honeymoon

All of this feels really familiar and could potentially be funny, but somehow miscast?

Private Lesson

I think this could be fun?

Angry Neighbors

Is it weird to say that this feels like it was a book first?

TV Shows

A Storm for Christmas

Looks like it was made by the people who did Home for Christmas, many cast members are on both shows at least.

Shrinking

Apple TV+ keeps delivering interesting shows.

The Last of Us

I’m actually really excited about The Last of Us. I get to say that, because I don’t have any expectations other than that I will fall in love with Pedro Pascal some more.

Gen V

This is the spin-off show of The Boys. I’m curious for sure. More so than I was about the animated version at least.

That 90s Show

I used to watch That 70s Show so much, but … I don’t know.

The Witcher: Blood Origins

Going to watch this, no questions asked.

Alice in Borderland (Season 2)

Yes, yes … I know, I should watch this show.

Emily in Paris (Season 3)

I’ll watch it and complain about it again. I’m part of the problem.

9-1-1: Lone Star (Season 4)

Since all my firefighter shows are on winter break, I need this to hurry up.

Did you see something on here you would like to watch? Let’s talk about it!

  1. Thoughts:
    1. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts: I thought they were done with this franchise. I was wrong.
    2. Indiana Jones 5: It’s a cautious “yes, I’ll buy a ticket and see this in theaters.” I’ve never been the biggest Indiana Jones fan, but I’m willing to give this a chance. I wonder what they’ll say Shia Labeauf’s character is up to.
    3. GotG volume 3: OMG, I CAN’T WAIT!
    4. Mario Bros. Movie: I will definitely get a ticket for this. It looks like a lot of fun.
    5. The Last of Us: Love it already. From the Take on Me in the background (nice callback to the second game) to the sounds and outlines to the various zombies to the one shot of Ellie’s first girlfriend. I just can’t wait!
    6. Witcher: Blood Origin: I will make every effort I can to see this when this comes out. I’m behind on a lot of my Netflix shows, but I will try with this.
    7. Alice in Borderlands 2: I will try even harder with this! This show is great! I can’t wait to see more (and to read more of the manga).

  2. I must admit my love for the Transformers movies as well. Happy to see the trailer here. l also liked the trailer for Indiana Jones. Have to believe those in Harrison Ford’s circle wouldn’t have let him step into this role again after all this time – and the previous one – unless he could do justice to it. The Guardians of the Galaxy trailer was another winner for me. Can’t wait for it to arrive! Here’s hoping the MCU in 2023 starts to weave together the threads towards our next mega-battle.
