Trailers You Might Have Missed … (Feb 13-19/2023)

Trailers You Might Have Missed This Week

All things considered, I had a stressful but good week! Let’s end it by taking a look at a bunch of movie and TV trailers!

Movies

The Little Mermaid

We are getting the full trailer when?

One True Loves

Not in love with the trailer, but I adore the book and am really looking forward to getting to see it unfold on the screen. Also, if you look at the books on the board in the bookshop, you’ll notice a couple of Taylor Jenkins Reid books listed.

Love Again

This is based on a book, which was already adapted into a movie – my favorite German movie “SMS für Dich”. So, this version has A LOT to live up to.

Three Ways

If I have learned anything from media, always pick a complete stranger for your threesome or it’s gonna get weird somehow.

Tetris

Taron Egerton really loves to do biopics, eh?

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

I didn’t watch the trailer. I know, who have I become? But I’m just gonna watch the movie when it releases and don’t need to know anything beforehand.

Transformers 7: Rise of the Beasts

Wait, there were 6 movies already? I’ve missed some of those for sure.

The Flash

I like the Flash as a character, but I have decided not to support this movie, so I don’t know what else to tell you.

Children of the Corn

The narrator at the beginning is so corny.

Supercell

One of my favorite movies growing up was Twister, so I might actually give this a shot.

Centurion: The Dancing Stallion

Confession time, I’m a horse girl.

Tell It Like a Woman

They’re going to try and fit a lot into this movie.

The Magician’s Elephant

It’s based on a book, but not one I’ve personally heard of before.

John Wick 4

For some reason, I always thought part 4 was already released in 2019 or something.

Kandahar

I’m just not vibing with Gerard Butler’s movie choices anymore.

TV Shows

Daisy Jones & The Six

None of y’all are prepared for the person I’m going to become once this show releases.

Extrapolations

This cast is freaking STACKED.

Queen Charlotte

Definitely, currently, more excited for this show rather than Bridgerton S3.

Great Expectations

Olivia Colman always slays.

Love & Death

As much as I love Elizabeth Olsen, I can’t be a hyprocrite. I said was against true crime stories and I’m not thrilled about this now either. Although at least there’s no serial killer involved in this one.

Rain Dogs

I only know Daisy from Taskmaster, so this could be interesting.

Shadow and Bone (Season 2)

I’m so excited. It’s been way too long!

Ted Lasso (Season 3)

Happiness shall return in March.

YOU (Season 4, Part 2)

Do NOT watch this, if you don’t want to get spoiled.

Did you spot something you would like to watch? Let’s talk about that!

  1. Thoughts:
    1. The Little Mermaid: I’m just not supporting these cash grab Disney remakes anymore. I just don’t see the point in them. Especially since Once Upon a Time did such amazing things with their stories already.
    2. GOTG volume 3: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!
    3. The Flash: I’m no supporter of Ezra Miller, either. However, I will check out this film just because I’m curious to see what they did.
    4. Children of the Corn: Dear Hollywood, you’ve already done this Stephen King story to death. Adapt other ones or, even better, give a chance to other horror writers with great stories out there. I can name ten off the top of my head who deserve their works to be adapted in some form or another!
    5. John Wick 4: I’ll see it when it’s on DVD. I prefer it that way.

    • The Little Mermaid is the only live action Disney remake I’m supporting and it’s mostly because of the fantastic cast. Also, I need racists to finally shut up. That movie will eat!
And, no. DC can miss me with The Flash. They’re able to support Ezra through all of this and not cancel his movie or remove his character from their future plans, but they can just make Batgril disappear from everywhere, basically deleting the movie and making it impossible for the creators to even sell it to another platform or studio, because once you write off a movie for tax purposes it can never be released. Heck. no.

  2. Wow so much exciting upcoming movies and shows!! Yeah the trailer for one true loves looks just ok- but I love the book, so I’m definitely gonna watch it! And that’s a nice touch with the Taylor Jenkins Reid books in the background! Can’t wait for Daisy Jones! And yes it’s been too long for the next season of shadow and bone but I’m psyched!! And I’m also more excited for queen charlotte than bridgerton season 3. Curious about love again as well!

    • I hope the One True Loves movie will be better than the trailer, but sometimes trailers are worse than the film, sometimes they are better than the film. Hard to tell ahead of time.
Daisy Jones on the other hand? Everything I see about it just has me more pumped. Only ONE WEEK to go!
