It’s been kind of a weird week for me, but I ended it by staying in bed, watching TV and baking cake, so that’s good! Right? Now, let’s check out some of the latest trailers.
Movies
Past Lives
This is my MOST anticipated movie of the year. I’m not joking. I’m looking forward to this one more than Barbie or the DnD movie.
Carmen
It’s gonna be intense, but I’d watch anything Paul Mescal is in.
A Thousand and One
Looks incredible already. I can tell there will be great performances in this.
About My Father
I’m kind of into movies not just showing love stories and couples in their teens and 20s.
Perfect Addiction
Why does this feel like it comes from a wattpad novel?
Prom Pact
It kind of reminds me of Honor Society and Sex Appeal. Movies like that will always be made, I guess (which is not a bad thing).
Wildflower
Could be good. Haven’t really seen Kiernan in anything since Sabrina.
Sweetwater
I feel like there’s a lot of upcoming basketball movies.
Chang Can Dunk
What did I say?
The Boston Strangler
Always prefer when these stories focus on the reporters instead of the killers.
TV Shows
Class of ’07
Looks wild.
Swarm
This finally tells us more than the teaser, but still leaves a lot open.
Rabbit Hole
“Saving the world”, eh? High stakes that I don’t really buy.
Unseen
South Africa bringing more and more content to Neftlix.
Waco: The Aftermath
I don’t think I’ll watch this one. I still haven’t watched the initial Waco show.
Thoughts:
1. Prom Pact: Looks cute, but totally not my thing. Also, I kind of want to write a story about a prom. Maybe with the title “Prom Pact” or “The Prom Agreement.” That could be fun.
2. The Boston Strangler: And once more, I’m tempted to reactivate my Hulu account. Also, “pahk the cah in Hahvahd yahd.”
3. The Pope’s Exorcist (not listed here but putting it down anyway): It’s basically Prey for the Devil but loosely based on an actual guy. I think I’ll skip it. Because until they do something different with this subgenre, once you’ve seen one possession film, you’ve basically seen them all.

I imagine if you write a story about prom, it’s going to be VERY different from what these movies were about.
Oh, yeah. Is Russell Crowe in the Pope’s Exorcist?

I believe he’s playing the lead.

I think I want to see that Robert Dinero movie. It made me think of him in that Zac Efron movie where he is the grandfather. That one was silly fun. I also think I might be here for the basketball movies? Maybe because I’ve been watching so much basketball lately.

I think the last “funny” Robert De Niro movie I saw was “The Intern”, where he was Anne Hathaway’s intern – it was a good movie!
The correlation between you being into basketball movies and actually watching the sport makes sense haha
