The week has passed and I sure could use some more time with this weekend. I don’t yet feel rested very much, but it is what it is. Let’s relax with some trailers!
Movies
Up Here
I’m not even a musical person, but I’m here for this? Big time!?
Peter Pan & Wendy
Peter Pan was one of my faves growing up, I always wanted to keep the window open for that silly boy. But I don’t need another live action movie. I just want to see the Little Mermaid and be done with it. Nothing can beat 2003 Peter Pan anyway.
The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry
This is the kind of movie that will make you cry.
Mafia Mamma
Toni Colette is just so funny.
Last Sentinel
Actually looks very intriguing.
How to Blow Up a Pipeline
Why would you film yourself doing illegal stuff?
Haunted Mansion
Since it’s Disney, I don’t expect it to be that scary.
The Blackening
Now this looks like the fun kind of horror.
The Tutor
They’re trying to make it look so serious, but I can’t take them serious at all?
The Crossover
We’re continuing the basketball movie trend.
Somewhere in Queens
Wouldn’t say it’s just about basketball, but it’s in there too.
Rare Objects
I think it’s interesting which projects Katie Holmes picks now.
The Year Between
I always wonder how movies like this are based on true stories, not because it sounds outrageous, but almost regular?
Die Hart 2: Die Harter
I definitely never watched the first season.
TV Shows
Fatal Attraction
Did I need a reboot? Nah, not really. But that cast … it’s one heck of an argument.
Mute
I just saw Ander from Elite and didn’t process much else of what was going on.
Unstable
The Lowe family working together again.
UnPrisoned
Looks good!
Sanditon (Season 3)
I swear if Edward goes anywhere near Augusta we’re gonna have a problem.
Ted Lasso (Season 3)
I can’t wait for my comfort show to return!
Succession (Season 4)
And here I am … still in episode 1 of season 1.
Riverdale (Season 7)
Thank the stars this is finally ending.
Thoughts:
1. Peter Pan & Wendy: I’m with you. It’s the 2003 version or nothing at all.
2. The Last Sentinel: Ooh, I want to see this. Looks like a great psychological horror movie with some shades of Underwater.
3. How to Blow Up a Pipeline: Worst YouTuber ever, lol.
4. The Haunted Mansion: So, does this have no relation whatsoever to the Eddie Murphy film beyond name and source material?
5. The Blackening: This looks like it could be a lot of fun.

I think Haunted Mansion is just a new thing? I didn’t really look into it though.

Given how bad the original was, I think most people are hoping it’s different

I recently rewatched the original Disney Peter Pan movie a few weeks ago… and I didn’t like it? It just didn’t hold up for me, I really couldn’t stand Peter and I remember really liking Peter Pan as a kid, so that was disappointing. I don’t know if I’ll watch this, but I do want to watch the 2003 version, since I don’t think I’ve ever seen that one.
Also, I was shocked to see that they announced it was Riverdale’s final season… I honestly thought the show was going to go on forever with it’s dumb plots that make no sense!

I’m not sure I ever loved the OG Peter Pan, but I remember loving Peter Pan 2? It was about Wendy’s daughter and the German version had some really beautiful songs that I still adore to this day. The 2003 live action is still my favorite though!

I didn’t even know there was a Peter Pan 2, I will have to give that a try!

Katie Holmes does pick interesting projects. There are many on here think I want to try.

I just watched Mafia Momma’s trailer and it looks so fun! I’m trying NOT to add too many new shows to my watchlist because I have so many current shows I need to watch. Not to mention all the movies as well lol

I’m sorry, my posts are usually really bad if you don’t want to add things to you to-watch-list haha

I mean I’ll never say no to things to add to my watchlist – even if I VERY much shouldn’t.

Ted Lasso can’t come soon enough…as well as the end of Riverdale, which I do hope goes out capturing the spirit and soul of Season 1…before it started to slide off the rails.

Agreed, Ted Lasso is just something that brings me so much joy. The sooner the show is back, the better!
I really used to like Riverdale back in the day, but I haven’t watched it for many seasons at this point. It’s just too nonsensical now.

Agree that the 2003 peter pan is perfect- I found out about the new adaptation and decided to rewatch the 2003 version… needless to say I don’t feel the need to check out another version

2003 Peter Pan is just forever going to be the best and people need to live with that.
