T5W – Books You DNF (Yet)

It’s Top 5 Wednesday, a meme hosted by booktuber Lainey aka gingereadslainey for which you can join on the Goodreads page here. This week is about books we DNF, but since that’s such a sad message, I am going for books that I haven’t finished yet instead. So, maybe I will continue reading those books one day, maybe not.

Winter’s Tale

I’ve mentioned it before … the writing! Very detailed, very metaphor-y and nothing much happens. I just couldn’t deal with it. But I still have the hope that one day I will be ready for that book.

Testament of Youth

I LOVE THAT MOVIE TO BITS! It’s one of my favourite war-time movies. So beautiful and simple, yet effective. I started the book and it is intense and SO much more than the movie. Those are real memoirs and somehow I haven’t been in the proper mood for that.

A Dance With Dragons

So, yeah … I kind of lost interest in reading the books when I got to the fifth and barely any characters I liked were in it. Also, I wasn’t really into having to wait years for the sequel. Maybe I’ll finally finish it when the next book comes out. Whenever that may be!

Breakfast at Tiffany’s

This isn’t even very long, it’s more like a little novella, but somehow I still haven’t finished it yet. The story kind of confuses me, which is weird, because it’s so short.

Jane Eyre

It took so long until Mr. Rochester finally appeared and then I got bored and watched the movie adaptation with Michael Fassbender instead. Yeah, that’s just me having troubles with classics …

What are some book you DNF or at least not yet? Tell me all about it and leave a link to your T5W if you want to!
